    Denver -- Thirty percent of shoppers say the ease, speed, and low prices offered online make it a clear solution for the value and time-saving shopping experience they seek. An ongoing shopper behavior study from The Integer Group and M/A/R/C also shows that although mass merchants remain a popular holiday shopping destination, a leading 54% of shoppers say they will take advantage of free shipping deals that e-retailers can offer.

    Chicago -- Retail industry veteran Steve Embree has joined the executive leadership team of spin photography services and solutions provider Snap36 as director of business development. Embree is responsible for driving business development and go-to-market strategies for Snap36 across both B2C and B2B markets.

  • Gap, Banana Republic offer omni-channel ‘reserve in store’

    San Francisco – Gap Inc. is rolling out its “Reserve in Store” capabilities to all U.S. Banana Republic stores and more than 200 Gap stores in 15 major U.S. markets. The launch, which follows a successful pilot in San Francisco and Chicago-area Gap and Banana Republic stores, makes it easy for customers to shop online or with their mobile device, place items on hold and pick them up in local stores.

  • H.J. Martin and Son helps Penney complete in-store shops project

    Green Bay, Wis. -- H.J. Martin and Son helped J.C. Penney add two new in-store shops: Disney and GiggleBaby.

    Fifty crews of two people – 100 total – from H.J. Martin were dedicated to the project, which spanned two-and-a-half weeks from mid-September until early October. In all, H.J. Martin performed the work in 218 Penney stores across the United States, with the exception of the south and southeast.

  • CVS launches Nuance Salma Hayek spring 2014 collection

    CVS unveiled during a New York City press event on Wednesday the spring 2014 collection of its exclusive Nuance Salma Hayek line.

    The new collection, which will begin shipping in January, features products for hair and skin.

  • Tanger Outlets National Harbor grand opening

    Greensboro, N.C. — Tanger Outlets National Harbor will celebrate its grand opening on Nov. 22. The outlet store line up includes: White House | Black Market, Calvin Klein, Gap, Halston Heritage, American Eagle Outfitters, Tommy Hilfiger, Banana Republic, Theory, Elie Tahari, Brooks Brothers, Aeropostale, Coach, Hugo Boss, J. Crew, Peter Millar, Diane von Furstenberg, Le Creuset and more.

    The 340,000-sq. ft. center is located just minutes from the U.S. Capital.

  • Mercato’s new customer magnet

    When the new Nordstrom Rack opened at Mercato in Naples, Fla., in early November, 500 people somehow got into the store within the first five minutes. No kidding.

    Nordstrom Rack replaced Books-A-Million in a 30,000 sq. ft. space in the center, joining several other new tenants including The Wine Loft, The Counter, MASA, Kelly Chase Couture and Mark Loren Designs, Le Macaron, Salon Zen AVEDA, Second Cup and TAPS Bar & Lounge.
