Amazon brings back Pet Days – for three extra days
Amazon is celebrating National Pet Month with its biggest Pet Days sales extravaganza yet.
For the fifth consecutive year, Amazon is running a promotion featuring thousands of pet products on sale. Initially introduced as a 24-hour event in May 2022 (known then as Amazon Pet Day), the sale returned as a 48-hour extravaganza in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
For the first time in 2026, Amazon Pet Days will become a five-day event, running from 12 a.m. PT Monday, May 11 – 11:59 p.m. PT Friday, May 15 and featuring deals on items including pet food and treats, toys, apparel, health care products, grooming supplies, and accessories.
Brands including Purina, Blue Buffalo, Hill's Science Diet, IAMS, Outward Hound, Greenies, Nom Nom, Maev, Stella & Chewy’s, Instinct FreshRaw, Chuckit!, and Chewking will participate in this year's Amazon Pet Days. While many deals focus on products for dogs and cats, customers will also find savings on brands like Farnam, Kaytee, Tetrapond and Flockleader for fish, horses, small animals, reptiles, and birds.
All customers can shop Pet Days, without membership in the paid Prime subscription program being required. The promotion has proven to be a success in the past. According to analysis provided to Chain Store Age by Affinity Solutions, during the week it hosted the 2024 edition of Pet Day Amazon saw a 4.8% year-over-year increase in overall sales.

Amazon has spring sales fever
While Amazon is best-known for its widescale extravaganzas such as Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days, and its annual Black Friday week promotion, the retailer has also been building a tradition of hosting of smaller sales promotions during the spring.
The online giant’s recently ran its third annual Big Spring Sale in March. Initially introduced in March 2024 and brought back in March 2025, the promotion features savings across more than 35 categories including spring fashion, new seasonal beauty items, spring refreshes for the home and lawn and garden supplies.
In 2025, these included a dedicated Father’s Day Shop storefront, a Memorial Day sale, and a Mother’s Day Shop.
“Whether you need to refill your treat jar, upgrade your toy collection, or stock up on grooming essentials, Amazon Pet Days has you covered,” Amazon said in a corporate blog post.
