Amazon debuting major spring sales event

Amazon Big Spring Sale
Amazon is debuting a new spring sales blockbuster.

Amazon’s latest sales extravaganza will target shoppers ready to purchase items for the upcoming change in weather — and they don't have to be Prime members to participate.

The e-tail giant will host its first-ever “Big Spring Sale” March 20  through March 25.  Amazon says the event will provide customers the “chance to shop great deals on seasonally relevant items.”

According to Amazon, the sale will focus on warm-weather and seasonal items such as spring fashion, outdoor furniture, lawn and garden essentials, and cleaning and organizing products. It will also feature deals on Amazon devices like Echo and Kindle devices.

Unlike Amazon’s Prime Day event in July and Prime Big Deal Days sale in October, which were restricted to members of its paid Prime membership program (although non-members could qualify with a 30-day free trial), all customers can shop the Big Spring Sale.

However, Prime members will receive access to additional exclusive deals. Amazon’s other two major seasonal sales events, the fall Holiday Beauty Hall and Black Friday – Cyber Monday promotion, which lasted Nov. 17-27, were open to all customers with extra perks for Prime members.

Amazon customers in the U.S. will find deals during the Big Spring Sale including:

  • Up to 50% off select beauty products.
  • Up to 50% off select sports and outdoors equipment.
  • Up to 40% off select home products.
  • Up to 40% off select spring apparel.
  • Up to 40% off select electronics.

Starting March 20, customers will find Big Spring Sale deals at amazon.com/bigspringsale. New deals, including exclusive offers for Prime members, will drop each day throughout the six-day event. A dedicated small business storefront will feature items from small businesses in Amazon’s store, including Black-owned, woman-owned, military family-owned, Hispanic-owned, Asian & Pacific Islander-owned, and LGBTQIA-owned businesses.

More than 300 million items will be available during the event with free Prime shipping, and tens of millions of the most popular items will be available with free same-day or one-day delivery.

Amazon targets Easter shoppers

In a separate seasonal offering, Amazon is hosting an Easter Hub, which lets shoppers browse holiday items by category and price. Shoppers will find a selection of holiday apparel, décor, gifts, and of candy, including products under $5. See a list of top-selling items from the Easter Hub here.
