Target launches two new creator programs
Target Corp. is making it easier and more rewarding for social influencers to promote products.
The discount giant, which says it is the most-followed big box retailer on TikTok, is introducing two new initiatives aimed at social media content creators – Club Target and Target Ambassadors — that it says make it easier for customers to move from inspiration to purchase in ways that feel natural and personalized.
Here is more information on the two new programs.
•Club Target is designed to provide creators with a guided, gamified experience that rewards their engagement. Features include weekly Instagram and TikTok challenges that invite creators to share their Target runs and favorite products, as well as tools, tips and suggestions for influencers.
It also includes multi-tiered rewards such as Target gift cards, features on Target’s social channels and commission opportunities. Target says that thousands of creators are currently participating in the Club Target pilot and it plans to scale the program over time as its influencer community grows.
•Target Ambassadors, powered by the LTK influencer-guided shopping platform, offers an integrated experience designed specifically for the chain's established creator partners on the LTK platform.
Creators can work directly with Target inside the platform, create and publish original content, and share that content across digital platforms, including the LTK app. For creators in the program, the LTK creator app includes a Target Ambassadors experience designed to make participation and performance tracking with Target more seamless and offering expanded benefits like increased commission rates and deeper brand access.
Other features of Target Ambassadors include access to:
- A multi-tiered program based on commissionable Target sales;
- Exclusive campaign offers that give participants opportunities to earn more with Target; and
- Enhanced commissions and other incentives like monthly bonuses for eligible content.
In addition, Target’s Roundel media network provides partner brand advertisers with a seamless connection to activate with LTK creators through ‘Influencers by Roundel’ campaigns.
“At Target, we’re reimagining social commerce by meeting brand enthusiasts and consumers where they are — from supporting emerging creators through Club Target to giving established creators a more integrated experience through our first-of-its-kind program with LTK,” said Sarah Travis, chief digital and revenue officer, Target. “It’s all in service of amplifying the elevated shopping experience, on-trend assortment and value we offer consumers and creating more seamless pathways from inspiration to purchase.”
Target turns to influencers
Target is not a stranger to partnering with influencers to increase sales and reach more consumers. The retailer offers its own affiliate program with opportunities for commissions up to 8% and tracking links for influencers to drive their audience to their Target product recommendations; and partners with Linktree, a platform enabling creators and influencers to create seamlessly shoppable landing pages for their recommended products,.
In addition, Target has offered holiday digital influencer storefronts on a dedicated section of its e-commerce site and has issued limited-edition collections in categories across apparel, swim and accessories items, home and office, food and kitchenware, entertaining and more with two-time Emmy-nominated actress, two-time New York Times best-selling author and social media personality Tabitha Brown.
More recently, Target teamed up with one of the biggest celebrity influencers in the world, Taylor Swift, to offer several exclusive versions of Swift’s 12th album, "The Life of a Showgirl," in October 2025.

"Target’s new ambassador program is a strong example of what’s possible when a retailer of this scale builds on proven creator commerce infrastructure," says Stephanie Sandbo, chief revenue officer at LTK. “LTK gives Target the infrastructure to manage creator relationships, gifting, campaigns, and measurement in one place, while giving creators an experience built to help them grow. We’re proud to power this program and help bring a more integrated, rewarding model to life for both Target and creators."
