Target launches Circle Week Oct. 1.

Target is providing more details on its annual Circle Week fall sales event, running this year Oct. 1-7, shortly before a major Amazon Prime promotion.

Initially announced Sept. 19, Target Circle Week, running from Oct. 1 -7, features up to 40% off on a variety of items for members of the Target Circle loyalty club.  (Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sales extravaganza runs Oct. 10 -11.)

For the first time, Target's same-day delivery service, Shipt, and Ulta Beauty At Target will participate in the savings event.  The offers include 50% off a new annual same-day delivery membership for Shipt  (down to $49, reg. $99).  And customers who spend $40 or more on select Ulta Beauty at Target brands will receive a $5 Target gift card when a guest's Target Circle account is linked to their Ultamate Rewards account.

In addition, Target is partnering again with online travel platform Tripadvisor on a special offer for members, offering 20% off Tripadvisor “Things To Do,” which includes over 300,000 experiences around the globe.

Some of the other top Target Circle Week deals include up to 40% off kitchen and floor care items; 30% of women’s sweaters, denim, jewelry, accessories and shoes; 30% off bedding and bath items; 20% off select groceries; 20% off select diapers and wipes; and 30% off select Halloween costumes and accessories.

Anyone who isn't yet a member can join for free on the Target site to participate in the event. Amazon’s second annual Prime Big Deal Days sales extravaganza begins Tuesday, Oct. 10, with Walmart and Best Buy among other retailers offering competing promotions.

Customers can pre-save the top 10 Circle Week deals Sept. 24-30 for purchase when Target Circle Week begins Oct. 1. Shoppers can click on the top deals to add them to their Target Circle account, streamlining purchase once the sale begins.

Also starting Oct. 1, Target'will bring back its Deal of the Day program (formerly called “Deal Days”) with daily discounts exclusively for Target Circle members. Every day through Dec. 24, members can access savings on holiday items both in store and on the Target e-commerce site.

In addition, Target will offer digital influencer storefronts on a dedicated section of its e-commerce site. The retailer says its 2023 holiday assortment features more than 10,000 new items from its owned brands, like Good & Gather and Threshold, as well as new products from national brands and more than 1,000 new toys.

"Our customers have told us how much they love Target Circle Week, so we're going big this October with savings across our assortment, new offers from partners and deals that deliver on affordable joy," said Cara Sylvester, executive VP and chief customer experience officer, Target.
