  • Crystal Light dives into e-commerce waters

    GLENVIEW, Ill. — Crystal Light, a leading beverage mix brand, is launching an e-commerce platform, Shop.CrystalLight.com. 

     

    "For years we have heard from some of our most loyal fans that they want easier access to the flavors they love, especially Crystal Light Pure," said Adam Butler, senior brand manager for Crystal Light. "This new e-commerce platform enables us to make a wide variety of unique flavors and varieties readily available to fans anywhere in the country."

     

  • Cache names marketing chief

    New York -- Cache said Monday that it has appointed Arnold Cohen as executive VP/chief marketing officer for the women’s apparel chain.

    Cohen’s background includes eight years with American Eagle Outfitters, where he was involved in creating the first mobile concept, the early iteration of Martin and Osa, and the back-on-campus initiative that rolled out to 50 colleges.

     

  • Sesame Street packaging gets a refresh

    Sesame Street has tapped Parham Santana, The Brand Extension Agency, to help it refresh its licensed consumer products packaging worldwide.

     

    Parham Santana developed unified packaging designs that focus exclusively on the iconic Sesame Street characters. The branding agency said it recognized the instant, emotional connections to the characters that people across countries, cultures and channels have with them, and chose to emphasize them, eliminating what it described as the marketing clutter prevalent in existing packaging.

     

  • Blink Fitness to debut new New Jersey club

    Lodi, N.J. -- Charter Realty & Development said that Blink Fitness will open a 20,000-sq.-ft. facility in Lodi, N.J.

    The fitness facility operator has grown to 13 locations in the New York Tri-State area, with another approximately 15 openings scheduled over the next 12 months.

     

  • Leslie's Poolmart to grand-open two stores on path to 48

    Phoenix -- Leslie’s Poolmart, parent to Leslie’s Swimming Pool Supplies, said Monday that it will grand-open two stores on May 3, putting the retailer on track toward opening its previously announced 48 new stores between March and May 2013.

    The May 3 grand openings are in Springfield, Pa., and in Oceanside, Calif.

    NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Johnson & Johnson chairman and CEO Alex Gorsky told shareholders at the company's annual shareholder meeting that its consumer healthcare business would reclaim its prominence in the U.S. marketplace. But OTC growth will be greatest outside of the U.S.

  • Jersey Mike’s to open at Mansfield Crossing

    Mansfield, Texas -- Irving, Texas-based WindStar Properties said that Jersey Mike’s Subs will open a new restaurant at Mansfield Crossing Shopping Center, located in Mansfield, Texas.

    The 1,575-sq.-ft. unit is part of an aggressive expansion push for the Jersey Shore-based sandwich chain, which opened 92 restaurants in 2012.
