    Retailers with Pepsi on their shelves will be happy to know that the brand is putting out all the stops to entice shoppers to make Pepsi products part of their summer.

    The beverage company is embarking on a summer marketing campaign that promises to deliver one-of-a-kind fan experiences to some of the hottest music and sporting events, restaurants and travel destinations.

  • Shopify expands Facebook buy button pilot

    Ottawa, Canada – The Shopify e-commerce platform is expanding a beta test of the Facebook “buy” button with select U.S. retailers, by invite only. Facebook began piloting the buy button, which lets desktop or mobile consumers click the “buy” call-to-action button on ads and page posts to purchase a product directly from a business, without leaving Facebook, in July 2014.

  • U.S. Internet Q1 ad revenue hits $13.3 billion

    New York — Internet ad revenues hit a record-breaking $13.3 billion in the United States in the first quarter of 2015, up 16% over the year-ago period, according to the latest IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report figures released today by the Interactive Advertising Bureau and  PwC US.  
  • Michaels, Gymboree team up on Instagram promotion

    Irving, Texas – The Michaels Companies Inc. is teaming up with The Gymboree Corp, on a summer Instagram promotion. Customers who share on Instagram how their family is crafting in style using the hashtag #CraftingInStyleSweeps and follow both Michales and Gymboree on Instagram will be entered to win a $100 gift card to both retailers.

    Three winners will be chosen at random each week.

  • Twitter offers ‘app category’ targeted ads for advertisers

    New York -- Twitter announced on Wednesday that its advertisers can use the data the social giant has been collecting on which apps its users download for targeted ads.

  • Torrid looking for next big model

    Plus-size apparel retailer Torrid is launching a national quest to discover the new full-figured face for the brand.

    Casting for the Face of Torrid 2016 kicked off this month at Torrid.com/modelsearch and will be followed this summer with live casting events in five major Torrid markets: Minneapolis, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

  • Walgreens launches video competition

    Deerfield, Ill. - Walgreens is collaborating with the new social competition app Challenged to challenge customers to bring their best summer beauty tip to life in a 12-second video using either Circa Beauty or Nonie Creme Colour Prevails products. Beauty expert Lauria Locsmondy of the Walgreens Social and Content creative team will judge the top 3 "viewed" Beauty Challenge videos submitted based on use of Circa and/or Colour Prevails items as primary component of the look, clear steps to achieve the look, and summer-relevant look.
