PowerReviews, Olapic team up to offer user-generated content solutions
PowerReviews, a leading provider of ratings, reviews and question-and-answer technology, is partnering with Olapic, a visual commerce platform for collecting, curating and sharing customer photos and videos on e-commerce sites.
The companies believe their strategic partnership can help brands and retailers create more authentic and compelling e-commerce experiences by capturing and embedding user-generated content such as ratings, reviews, images and video directly into the purchase path.
"PowerReviews is delighted to partner with Olapic to offer leading brands and retailers curated visual content alongside product reviews," said Matt Moog, CEO of PowerReviews. "By empowering consumers to contribute images and videos to brand websites, further enriching the reviews they submit, we are extending and deepening the relationship between the brand and consumer."
"We are very excited to unite Olapic with PowerReviews, as both companies are changing the way people shop online," said Pau Sabria, co-founder and CEO of Olapic. "The e-commerce experience has been slow to evolve. The combination of reviews and curated visual social content creates an even deeper connection to the consumer and adds another critical layer to the online shopping experience."
PowerReviews software assists more than 1,000 brands and retailers, including Toys"R"Us, Lord and Taylor, Staples and Sears, to collect and display customer reviews and answers to product questions. The platform moderates reviews for profanity and ensures authenticity, and enables brands to display this content on product detail pages. Consumers also have the option to share their reviews on Facebook and Twitter, while brands can syndicate the content to major retailers and search engines.
Working with clients such as Anthropologie, Coach, Piperlime, Sears and Steve Madden, Olapic surfaces relevant brand photos from Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Vine and Tumblr. Clients then approve content for display on product detail pages and within galleries. Olapic also uses its proprietary Photorank algorithm tool to help brands identify and display customer photos that have the most potential to drive conversions in an e-commerce environment.
