  • Study: Only 2% of products posted on social commerce sites

    San Francisco - Only 1.7% of products are posted on social commerce properties. In addition, according to the Search and Social Commerce Index from predictive media optimization technology Kenshoo and semantic advertising company DataPop, even among products in their most popular product categories, retailers post only 7.2% of their products via social commerce.

  • Fendi opens fun pop-up in Manhattan

    New York -- Italian luxury brand Fendi has opened a pop-up, called #fendisoho in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. The 630-sq.-ft. store will be open until the end of the year.

    The merchandise will rotate on a monthly basis, with different themes that reflect the breadth of the brand’s offerings. The first collection is devoted to accessories, or what Fendi calls “must-have mini-icons.”

  • Lands' End Kids launches digital popup shop

    With back-to-school season in full swing, Lands' End Kids has enlisted seven PopSugar Select mom bloggers to curate a collection of "First-day Faves," each to be featured in a new digital popup shop every week at landsend.com/firstdayfaves.

    Featured items will be offered at a 25% discount.

  • GameStop rolls out gift card exchange

    GameStop customers can now exchange gift cards online for a GameStop e-gift card. The new offering is part of a partnership with Cardpool, a leading gift card exchange platform.

    Consumers can trade in plastic and e-gift cards online by filling out the individual gift card information at https://gamestop.cardpool.com. Once the information is verified and the transaction is complete, consumers receive a GameStop e-gift card via email that they can use at one of the more than 4,400 store store locations nationwide or online.

  • RetailMeNot: Parents spend $659 annually on school supplies

    Austin, Texas – Parents spend, on average, $659 on school-related costs throughout the year per family. According to a survey from digital coupon provider RetailMeNot, 67% of parents start their back-to-school shopping by the end of July, which is down slightly from 2013 (71%).

  • Trademark Property Co. takes over Uptown Village at Cedar Hill

    Fort Worth, Texas -- Trademark Property Co. announced it has been engaged to manage and lease Uptown Village at Cedar Hill, a 610,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use open-air center in Cedar Hill, Texas.

    Strategically located in the midst of a dynamic retail hub less than 20 minutes south of downtown Dallas, Uptown Village includes 350,000 sq. ft. of specialty stores and restaurants and 35,000 sq. ft. of office space.
