Adidas to integrate Amazon buy with Prime into site, app

Adidas is teaming up with Amazon's Prime membership service.

A global athletic footwear and apparel giant will let Amazon Prime members use their benefits for purchases on its e-commerce site and consumer app.

Beginning in spring 2025, Germany-based Adidas will make the Amazon "Buy with Prime" program, which enables U.S.-based Prime members to directly shop online stores beyond Amazon using their Prime benefits, available on its direct-to-consumer site and mobile app.

During checkout, shoppers will see an option to log into their Amazon account and verify their Prime membership. Once confirmed, they will finish checkout using one of Fossil’s various payment options. 

After the purchase is made, Amazon will fulfill all Prime eligible items in the order. Post-purchase, Prime members can view, manage, and track their Buy with Prime orders from their order confirmation email, their Amazon account on Amazon.com, or their Fossil order confirmation email.

"We’re excited to give Prime members the added convenience of using the shopping benefits they already know and love on Adidas.com and the adidas app."

This partnership follows a recent similar integration of the Buy with Prime service into the e-commerce site of footwear/apparel/accessories brand Steve Madden, as well as enablement of consumer electronics accessories brand Belkin’s site and watch and accessories brand Fossil’s site with the Prime offering.

A Buy with Prime primer

Initially, the Buy with Prime feature was only available for third-party retailers using the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) hosted logistics service. 

Since then, the e-tailer has made Buy with Prime widely available to U.S.-based Amazon retailers, integrated it with the BigCommerce and Shopify e-commerce platforms, integrated it with TikTok adsand added cart functionality for customers and 24/7 post-order customer service support for sellers.

Most recently, Buy with Prime has begun rolling out additional holiday deals, exclusive promotions from brands, and opportunities to earn rewards for Prime members who participate.
