  • Former Famous Footwear exec takes top marketing role at Crocs

    Crocs Inc. has promoted one of its marketing directors to be the company's next chief marketing officer,

    The company announced that Terence Reilly was promoted to SVP and CMO. In this new role, Reilly will lead the global marketing team in Niwot, Colo., providing strategic direction and support to the company's regional and country marketing teams across the globe.  He will continue to oversee all aspects of Crocs' marketing, including the company's brand, advertising, consumer and social media campaigns.

    Kohl’s and Toys"R"Us are among the first retailers to announce their holiday hiring plans this year, and the numbers are more or less the same as last year for both companies.

    Toys”R”Us plans to hire 40,000 employees at its stores and distribution centers throughout the country (about 5,000 less than last year). The retailer also plans to allow seasonal workers the opportunity to take on significantly more hours than in previous years, while also continuing to provide extra hours to current employees.

    Visual marketing platform provider Olapic, which turns consumer-generated photos and videos into brand assets for use in marketing, is teaming up with a major social network.

    Olapic is now part of the Facebook Marketing Partner Program.
