  • Coyote Management forms new marketing company

    Addison, Texas -- Coyote Management announced the formation of a new marketing solutions company called Coyote Creative.

    With the addition of the new company, the mall owner and manager has expanded its services to include marketing solutions to individual companies, regional malls, lifestyle projects and open-air shopping centers.

    The new company will be headed by Kymberley Scalia, corporate director of marketing, and Lindsey Willis, marketing coordinator.

    Hoffman Estates, Ill. -- Sears and Kmart stores are debuting “mobile shopping walls” in high-traffic areas to reach customers who are traveling or on-the-go during the holiday season. The walls, which feature top toys from Sears and Kmart, provide Quick Response codes for each item so that customers can make purchases directly from their smartphones, giving customers an innovative and efficient way to accomplish their holiday shopping.

  • Kohl’s tops Street, J.C. Penney misses

    New York City -- Kohl's Corp. reported a 3.9% rise in same-store sales in October, better than analysts’ expectations, amid strong demand for its new Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony brands.

    In a statement, CEO Kevin Mansell said that customers responded favorably to the pair of new brands, as well as the company's marketing programs.

    “As we enter the important fourth quarter, we plan to continue our investment in marketing, especially digital and broadcast, to drive customer traffic and broaden our reach,” he said.

    BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart is giving customers the chance to preview its Black Friday specials early. The company announced that customers can sign up at Walmart.com or Facebook.com/Walmart to receive an early preview of its specials on the widest assortment of top electronics, toys, apparel and more. 

  • Walmart starts holiday shopping early with preview of Black Friday deals

    Bentonville, Ark. -- Wal-Mart Stores said Wednesday it is offering an early previous of its Black Friday deals.

    The retailer will begin previewing special deals on Wednesday, and will hold an early holiday sale beginning Nov. 5.

    The Black Friday preview for specials in electronics, toys and apparel will be available to shoppers who sign up at Walmart.com or the store's Facebook page, according to the company.
