TORRANCE, Calif. General Imaging’s new 12 megapixel E1235 digital camera will debut on HSN today before rolling out to retail stores.

The company’s first 12MPG camera will be available for an introductory price of $199.95 and will come with a black camera case and ArcSoft software that enables users to create greeting cards and scrapbooks with their photos. The E1235 comes in red and silver and feature both blink and smile detection. “We are pleased that we can launch another GE camera on HSN because we’ve had great success there,” said General Imaging president and ceo Hiroshi Komiya.

General Imaging spokesman John Schmid said the E1235 would be available at standard retailers soon after its HSN launch. HSN reaches 90 million U.S. homes and also sells products online. General Imaging currently sells its GE branded cameras in more than 22,000 retail stores.
