C-Suite Moves: April update
Here are the major C-suite changes that occurred in April, starting with the most recent. (All changes have already taken effect unless otherwise noted.)
•Women apparel retailer J.Jill appointed Kimberly Wallengren as as senior VP and chief marketing officer. She most recently was the VP of marketing, North America at Coach.
•Bath & Body Works Inc. named Veronique Gabai-Pinsky as its first-ever chief brand & product officer. Her career includes 13 years at The Estée Lauder Companies, including serving as global president of the company’s fragrance division and independent skincare brands.
•Continuing to bolster its leadership, Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. tapped Kyla Robinson as its new chief technology transformation officer. Most recently, she spent five and a half years at shapewear brand Spanx, where she held various roles and oversaw digital commerce, product, engineering, and customer experience. Prior to Spanx, she held leadership roles at Nike, Walmart and Saks Fifth Avenue.
•Lululemon appointed 27-year Nike Inc. veteran Heidi O’Neill as its next CEO, effective Sep. 8. The company had been searching for a new CEO since former CEO Calvin McDonald stepped down in January 2026.
•Corie Barry will step down from her roles as CEO of Best Buy and board member at the end of the company’s third quarter, on Oct. 31. She will be succeeded by Jason Bonfig, who currently serves as Best Buy chief customer, product and fulfillment officer.
•Apple Inc. said that John Ternus, senior VP of hardware engineering, will succeed Tim Cook as CEO, effective Sept. 1, at which time Cook will take on the role of executive chairman.
•Jewelry and lifestyle retailer Kendra Scott Design Inc. appointed Adrienne Gernand to the new role of chief business officer. Gernand has spent nearly three decades in the retail industry, serving at Gap Inc. for a total of more than 21 years across two stints.
•Activewear brand Vuori named Heather Archibald as its first-ever chief product office. Most recently, she was the chief product and merchandising officer at sustainable footwear brand Rothy’s.
•Jill Cress has been named chief marketing officer of registry platform Babylist. She most recently served as the chief marketing and experience officer at H&R Block.
•Mitchell Kauffman, CEO of Wacoal America, retired. He is succeeded by James Wheatley, who has served as president of Wacoal America for the past year.
•Kendra Scott Design Inc. named Mike McMullen as CFO. Most recently he served as the CFO of Yeti Holdings.
•Luke Estep was tapped as chief marketing officer for Ocean State Job Lot. Estep most recently served as VP marketing for Grocery Outlet.
•BJ’s Wholesale Club named Stephanie Reibling as executive VP and chief merchandising officer. Most recently, she served as senior VP and general merchandise manager at Sam’s Club from 2020 to 2025.
•Sally Beauty appointed appointed Adrianne Lee as senior VP and chief financial officer. Lee most recently served as the president and CFO of Bed Bath and Beyond, joining the retailer as CFO in 2020.
