BJ's Wholesale Club names new merchandising chief

Stephanie Reibling will lead BJ's Wholesale Club's merchandising organization.

A merchandising executive is making the jump from one wholesale club retailer to another.

BJ’s Wholesale Club has named Stephanie Reibling as executive VP and chief merchandising officer, effective immediately. In the role, she will lead the company’s merchandising organization, playing a critical role in driving BJ’s merchandising transformation and delivering growth across categories. She will report to Paul Cichocki, chief commercial officer.

Reibling brings nearly 25 years of experience across merchandising, product and brand development and sourcing to BJ’s. Most recently, she served as senior VP and general merchandise manager at Sam’s Club from 2020 to 2025, where she led a broad portfolio across apparel, home, hardlines, toys and seasonal categories for both clubs and e-commerce.

Earlier in her career, Reibling held divisional merchandising roles across a nearly 12-year span at Walmart, leading categories including DIY, sports and outdoors, kids apparel and home. She previously held leadership roles at Gap Inc.

Headquartered in Marlborough, Mass., BJ’s Wholesale Club currently operates 263 clubs and 201 BJ's Gas locations in 21 states. BJ’s opened 14 new locations in 2025, keeping the retailer on track to deliver its commitment of 25 to 30 new clubs over 2025 and 2026.
