  • iCarly star helps H-E-B gear up for BTS

    SAN ANTONIO — H-E-B announced that Jennette McCurdy, co-star of Nickelodeon’s "iCarly," will star in its new "Gear Up for Back-to-School" ad campaign. The campaign launched Wednesday and runs through Aug. 31 in Texas.

  • CityTarget in Chicago is shaping up

    The Permit Review Committee of the Commission on Chicago Landmarks last week gave Target the green light to incorporate a number of branding elements to the retail space its first CityTarget store will occupy in the Sullivan Center in downtown Chicago.

    Renderings of the building show red awnings on the building’s exterior and the company’s Bulls Eye logo visible though the windows of the signature rotunda entrance at the corner of State and Madison streets. There are also wide red banners evenly spaced and visible through exterior windows.

  • Google integrated e-reader arrives at Target this week

    Boasting a high resolution screen, long battery life and fast page-turn performance, a new e-reader called the iriver Story HD is set to hit Target stores this weekend. The product is a big deal because it integrates with Google eBooks and Target will be the exclusive retailer of the device, at least for a while as exclusives on hot new electronics items tend to be fleeting.

  • Target wins approval to add bulls-eye to Chicago landmark building

    New York City -- Target Corp. has won approval to put its signature red logo on one of Chicago's most famous buildings. The Permit Review Committee of the Commission on Chicago Landmarks on Thursday approved the chain’s request to allow its bull's eye to be placed on its new store planned for downtown Chicago.

  • Kmart cooks up a deal with Gordon Ramsay

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Kmart that it will be the exclusive retailer for the new Gordon Ramsay Everyday kitchen collection. The collection will debut in stores this fall and will include cookware, dinnerware, cooking utensils and small kitchen appliances.

  • Levi's to 'go forth' with first global campaign

    SAN FRANCISCO — Levi's is taking its "Go Forth" campaign beyond the United States in its first global marketing program. 

    According to Levi's, its 2011 "Go Forth" campaign will utilize TV, cinema, print, digital and outdoor marketing vehicles and will be present in 24 countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. Levi's said the campaign will showcase its fall 2011 collection wihile encouraging customers to make positive changes in the world.

  • SC Johnson hopes to wipe away waste with Windex refills

    RACINE, Wis. — SC Johnson has introduced Windex Mini, a concentrated refill pouch that uses 90% less plastic packaging than a traditional 26 fluid ounce trigger bottle.

    According to SC Johnson, data shows U.S. consumers are not keen on refilling their household cleaning bottles and is hoping the launch of Windex Mini will help the company understand why that is the case.
