  • Papa Murphy’s serves up mobile promotions

    Vancouver, Wash. – Papa Murphy’s Holdings Inc. is running enhanced mobile marketing campaigns using the Waterfall cloud mobile messaging platform. Papa Murphy's in-store promotions, supplemented with text alerts and calls to action that offer coupons and other incentives, are driving more in-store sales and Web traffic.

  • Study: Brands don’t understand consumers

    Armonk, N.Y. – There is a significant perception gap between how well businesses think they are marketing and the actual customer's experience. A U.S. study of 276 marketers and more than 1,100 consumers, developed by Econsultancy for IBM found that almost 90% of marketers agree that personalizing the customer experience is critical to their success.

    Despite this widespread agreement, nearly 80% of consumers stated that the average brand doesn't understand them as an individual.

  • Ace Hardware launches free in-store pickup April 1

    Oak Brook, Ill. - Ace is the place with the helpful in-store pickup of online orders. Ace Hardware is nationally launching its free store pickup program beginning Wednesday, April 1 at participating Ace stores.

    Free store pickup will allow customers to check their neighborhood Ace store's available inventory on Acehardware.com and either go in-store to make their purchase or place their order online and pick it up in-store the same day.

  • Dollar General goes digital with spring coupons

    Goodlettsville, Tenn. - Dollar General is helping customers spring into savings with the launch of its spring Fast Way to Save digital coupon program. Fast Way to Save offers customers approximately $200 each week in total online coupon savings through April 19.

    Customers will see additional weekly specials on dozens of discounts on Easter merchandise and a buy-one, get-one free sale on select apparel and accessories.

  • North Face offers mountain workouts

    The North Face’s latest unique marketing campaign is inviting customers to the mountains for a workout without ever leaving the store.

    The outdoors and fitness apparel company's latest promotion will bring Mountain Athletics workouts to five cities across the country, and customers are invited to sign up and engage in-store and online via a variety of digital marketing offerings.

    Beginning March 31, the North Face will host twice-weekly free strength and conditioning workouts in Washington, D.C., New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Boston.

  • Drizly updates app, site, branding

    Boston – Omnichannel beer/wine/liquor delivery service Drizly is relaunching its mobile app, website and branding. New features of the site and app include ratings, reviews and rich media content; storable “favorite” orders and address books; smart searches that deliver results as users type; and the ability to share Drizly with friends and send gifts.

    Drizly’s new digital interface also enables immersive brand experiences with alcohol products; rich content placements; and sponsored listings.

  • Barnes & Noble runs social Nook promotion

    New York – Barnes & Noble Inc. is launching the #NookReadingStyle sweepstakes, designed to inspire book lovers to share their reading style on their Facebook pages and other social media channels. From March 16-31, participants can enter for a chance to win prizes including Nook e-readers and Barnes & Noble gift cards by completing the sweepstakes entry form on the Nook Facebook page.

  • New Lay's chip flavor coming soon to shelves

    Retailers could soon be having to find space on the shelf for a new Lay’s chip as the brand continues its third year of crowd-sourced product development.

    PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division has announced a last call for submissions in its search for the next great potato chip flavor as part of the Lay's "Do Us A Flavor" contest. Fans have until March 30 to submit flavor ideas for the chance to win a $1 million grand prize.
