  • Publix invites customers to its first-ever blog

    Publix Super Markets is expanding its online outreach by launching the company’s first blog for engaging with customers.   The blog, called Publix Checkout, was created with the customer in mind, the company says. Blog posts will range in topic from recipes, community initiatives and sustainability ideas to holiday entertaining, health and wellness and more. Visitors to the blog can comment on posts or share them on social media sites.

    Story, the innovative retail store in Manhattan that totally reinvents itself every few months, has gone nostalgic with its latest revamp.   Story’s new installation, “Remember When,” offers an immersive retro experience that celebrates Nickelodeon’s memorable characters and iconic shows — “Rugrats” and “Sponge Bob” to name just two — from the ‘90s, just in time for the 25th anniversary of Nickelodeon.  
  • The pause that refreshes ... at Disney Springs

    Another high-profile retail attraction has opened at Disney Springs, Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida.   The Coca-Cola store is designed to offer customers an immersive brand experience. Modeled after a 1920s Coca-Cola bottling plant, the store celebrates the history of the brand, starting on the exterior where the glass-accented entry pays tribute to the iconic Coke green glass bottle.

    Sony is set to open a store in Manhattan that will highlight new products and technologies, and host consumer events, film screenings and music performances.
  • Papa John’s re-ups with NFL

    Papa John’s is the most recognized brand among fans of the National Football League and the chain intends to keep it that way, announcing it had renewed its multiyear deal as the official pizza sponsor of the NFL and the Super Bowl.   In that regard, Papa John’s is permitted to use NFL logos in its advertising and conduct integrated marketing campaigns involving the NFL Kickoff event and the Pro Bowl in addition to the Super Bowl.

  • Build-A-Bear Workshop going out to sea

    Build-A-Bear Workshop is teaming up with one of the world’s leading cruse lines.   The retailer has entered into a partnership with Carnival Cruise Line to bring its retail-entertainment experience to the line's fleet.    The first Build-A-Bear Workshop At Sea will debut aboard Carnival Dream, and is expected to be in place aboard all 25 Carnival ships by summer 2017.    
  • First Look: Sonos brings the music home in retail debut

    Sonos, known for its “smart” sound systems, has made its bricks-and-mortar debut with an interactive store that celebrates music.     The store, in the SoHo section of Manhattan, is designed to allow visitors to listen to music — and experience Sonos products — the way they would at home. It also offers "Simple Set Up," a white-glove, in-home service that includes local delivery, set-up, and product introductions for in-store purchases.
