    The PGA Tour Superstore is looking to leverage the popularity of golfer Rickie Fowler with a new marketing campaign.

    Fowler, one of the PGA Tour’s rising young stars, will help the retailer introduce a multi-faceted Custom Fit Campaign and Meet Rickie promotion.

  • Hamleys’ new 73,000-sq. -ft. store in Moscow is Europe’s largest toy shop

    New York -- U.K. toy retailer Hamleys Plc has opened Europe’s largest toy store, a 73,000-sq.-ft. location in Moscow. It is also the second largest toy store in the world, with Toys “R” Us’ Times Square outpost taking the top spot.  (As previously reported, Hamleys is planning to enter the United States).
     

  • North Face offers mountain workouts

    The North Face’s latest unique marketing campaign is inviting customers to the mountains for a workout without ever leaving the store.

    The outdoors and fitness apparel company's latest promotion will bring Mountain Athletics workouts to five cities across the country, and customers are invited to sign up and engage in-store and online via a variety of digital marketing offerings.

    Beginning March 31, the North Face will host twice-weekly free strength and conditioning workouts in Washington, D.C., New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Boston.

  • Dick’s Last Resort to open first Ohio location

    Columbus, Ohio - Nationwide Realty Investors has announced that Nashville, Tennessee-based Dick’s Last Resort will open its first Ohio location in the Arena District in summer 2015. Dick’s Last Resort will occupy 7,300-sq.-ft. in the first floor of a building adjacent to Nationwide Arena and will include an outdoor patio with seating for more than 130 people

  • J.C. Penney chief marketing officer leaves

    Plano, Texas – Deb Berman, chief marketing officer of The J.C. Penney Co. Inc., has left the company. In a statement, J.C. Penney said Berman left of her own accord.

    Berman came to Penney from Kraft Foods Group in August 2013, as part of CEO Mike Ullman’s attempt to rebuild the retailer’s management team.  She served at Kraft as VP of marketing and engagement and also had prior experience working at advertising agencies.
     

  • True Value shows true colors for St. Patrick's Day

    Chicago-based True Value Co. showed its true colors -- and legacy when it comes to producing and selling paint -- on Monday during the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.

    The company erected a 40-foot-tall True Value paint stick and stuck it in the water on the northeast corner of Michigan Avenue. The paint stick stunt was conceived by MARC USA Chicago to leverage True Value’s first time as a sponsor of the annual event. The paint stick will be embossed with the line, “The Value Of The Perfect Color.”
