    Target Corp.’s latest limited-edition collaboration, with the Finnish brand Marimekko, was not a bust, but it also didn’t spark the excitement and shopping frenzy that marked the launch of the retailer’s previous exclusive collections — particularly its past partnerships with Missoni and Lily Putlizer.

  • Tiffany aligns with fashion site to sell more jewelry

    In a first, Tiffany & Co. will sell its jewelry online, on a site other than its own.

    Tiffany has entered into a limited collaboration with online retailer Net-A-Porter to make select Tiffany items available for purchase on the global fashion site.

    “With their recognized edit and fashion authority, Net-A-Porter will re-introduce Tiffany as more than the legendary jeweler, but an expression of personal style,” said Philippe Galtie, senior vice president of international sales at Tiffany & Co.

  • Uniqlo looking to ‘Master’ sportswear retail

    When the Masters golf tournament gets underway next week one of the sport’s highest profile players will be sporting apparel co-created with Uniqlo.

    The global fast fashion retailer teamed up with Australian golf Adam Scott to develop and help promote a line of affordable sportswear including pants and shirts. Scott won the Masters in 2014 and is heading into the high profile tournament scheduled for April 7-10 among the favorites.
