Walmart Deals savings event returns — before, during and after Prime Day
Walmart is throwing its hat into the ring of late-June sales extravaganzas as it looks to compete with Amazon's Prime Day.
The discount giant is hosting Walmart Deals, a weeklong online and in-store savings event featuring thousands of offers across categories including back-to-school, from Monday June 22 – Sunday, June 28. As has been the case for the past two years, the dates for the Walmart event nearly overlap with Amazon Prime Day, which will take place June 23-26. (Fellow discount giant Target is also countering Prime Day with the return of its Target Circle Deal Days promotion.)

Walmart Deals initially launched as a digital-only sale in July 2024 and returned as an omnichannel promotion in July 2025.
Unlike Prime Day and Circle Deal Days, Walmart Deals is open to all shoppers and not just members of the Walmart+ paid subscription service. However, eligible Walmart+ members will have early access to an online-only curated assortment of drop items in the first 24 hours of the event, while supplies last and before they are available to other customers.
Walmart Deals will include online and in-store savings on thousands of items —including electronics, fashion, toys, collectibles, furniture and skincare. Customers can shop the Walmart Deals event on the Walmart site and app as well as in Walmart stores nationwide.
As part of the Walmart Deals promotion, Walmart's in-house creative team created “Alwayz,” a fictional boy band that performs an original pop song called "Catchin' Feels.” The Alwayz campaign will include music and lyric videos, behind-the-scenes content, social storytelling and a cast of fictional performers.
The promotion begins online at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 22 and in stores at 6 a.m. local time. The event concludes at 11:59 p.m. ET on June 28 and at regular closing time in stores. Early access to hot deal drops for Walmart+ members begins at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 22. Any remaining hot deal drop items will open to all customers starting at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 23.
