Target is launching several brand collaborations for the back-to-school season.

Target Corp. is going all out to capture back-to-school spend  — particularly when it comes to brand collaborations.

The discount giant is launching exclusive limited-time partnerships with several brands for the back-to-school season, including a big one with LoveShack Fancy, best known for its feminine stylings, whimsical prints and devoted following. Available beginning July 5 and targeted at tweens and teens, the LoveShackFancy x Target limited-time collection features more than 200 items across apparel, accessories, beauty, school supplies. Most items are priced under $25.

The LoveShackFancy x Target collaboration — LoveShack's largest collaboration to date —extends beyond the assortment.  To celebrate the collection, many Target  stores will feature chandeliers, bows and signage inspired by LoveShackFancy’s aesthetic. At 1,800 participating Target stores (and while supplies last), customers can also redeem a ticket for an exclusive LoveShackFancy x Target tote with signature pink hues and a bold floral wraparound print.

"Partnering with Target has allowed us to bring the LoveShackFancy world to so many more girls in a way that feels truly special," said Rebecca Hessel Cohen, founder and creative director of LoveShackFancy. "My hope is that every piece brings a little joy to the school year ahead.”

Target's other new brand launches include the following.

•The Hollister Collection, which will be available June 28, features apparel, accessories and, in a first for Hollister, home products such as bedding and dorm decor. Most items are priced under $50.

•Owala x Cat & Jack launches nationwide July 5 with backpacks, lunch bags, water bottles and accessories featuring playful details such as mini backpacks and bag charms, with many items priced between $3 and $25.

Target's owned brands are also releasing special back-to-school and back-to-college assortments, including the debut of a dorm line from Threshold, with more items priced under $50. And Target's All in Motion is expanding into the uniform shop for the first time, starting at $15.

Artificial intelligence personalization

Target will also provide AI-enabled recommendations for student and teacher wish lists on its e-commerce site and app, helping bringing to mind forgotten essentials and to inspire stylish finds. (Target debuted a generative AI-based personalized shopping tool during the 2024 holiday season called the Bullseye Gift Finder.)

Extra savings for students and teachers

College students and teachers who are members of the free Target Circle loyalty program can save a extra 20% off one storewide purchase from July 5 through Sept. 12, and more than 50% off an annual Target Circle 360 paid membership.

"Back-to-school and back-to-college are big moments for families and at Target we believe shopping for them should be inspiring and joyful – an opportunity for delight as you find everything you need," said Cara Sylvester, executive VP and chief merchandising officer, Target. "So we've put together an assortment with more trend-forward style, great design and unrivaled value than ever before. It's distinctly Target. And combined with a seamless shopping experience, it's even easier for students of all ages to discover fun, new ways to express themselves."

Based in Minneapolis, Target Corp. operates more than 2,000 U.S. stores and online
