  • Supervalu, Albertson’s hit by new breach

    Eden Prairie, Minn. – Supervalu Inc., which reported an intrusion into the portion of its computer network that processes payment card transactions at some of its retail food stores on Aug. 14, is reporting the discovery of another breach.

    London – Amazon.com ranks first in end-to end customer experience across key digital channels including websites, mobile sites and apps. According to the latest EChannel Retail Benchmark report from EDigitalResearch, Amazon tops the benchmark study due to their core multichannel functionality, especially across the search and purchase sections of the customer journey.

  • Shoe Carnival streamlines omnichannel ops

    Shoe Carnival is leveraging eBay Enterprise’s integrated technology and services to streamline its omnichannel operations, including retail order management, payments, fraud protection, ship-from-store and customer care.

    eBay Enterprise’s modular solutions will provide the retailer with a secure engine to accept payments, drive down fraud rates and consolidate inventory across many of its stores to increase product assortment, while lowering fulfillment transit time and expense, according to the company.

  • Supervalu confirms second data breach

    Just a little more than a month after Supervalu announced a data breach, the company has confirmed a second malware attack on its payment systems.

    On Aug. 14, Supervalu announced that it had experienced a criminal intrusion into the portion of its computer network that processes payment card transactions at some of its retail food stores, including some of its associated stand-alone liquor stores, but not including its Save-A-Lot stores.

    Los Angeles - Mobile shopping app provider Ibotta Inc. has partnered with Roximity, a provider of location-based mobile technology to deliver iBeacon-based mobile messages to shoppers within store aisles across the U.S. Roximity will enhance Ibotta’s ability to engage millions of shoppers, by providing detailed and relevant information about leading consumer products and rebates available to them in stores, while they shop.

  • 7-Eleven Mexico selects WeDo loss-prevention solution

    Dallas - 7-Eleven has selected the Raid 7 software solution from WeDo Technologies for the retailer's Mexican operations. With more than 1,700 stores across the country, 7-Eleven México needed an enterprise business software suite to deliver end-to-end visibility and control of its retail processes; analyzing and identifying risks and monitoring and controlling deviations.
