    New York -- Shoe Carnival is deploying eBay Enterprise’s integrated technology and services to streamline its omnichannel operations, including fraud protection, ship-from-store, retail order management, payments, and customer care.

  • Scandit releases new mobile app suite

    San Francisco - Scandit, a developer of a software-based barcode scanning solution for smartphones, tablets and wearable devices, has released an integrated suite of mobile apps to enhance the consumer shopping experience and retail operations. Scandit’s Mobile App Suite for Retail provides a series of fully customizable, cross-platform mobile applications for retail employees and customers including: clienteling, mobile point-of-sale (mPOS), mobile shopping, self-checkout, shopping lists and procurement.

  • Vera Bradley uses ShopperTrak for U.S. in-store analytics

    Chicago - Vera Bradley has implemented ShopperTrak's Perimeter Analytics solution at each of its new U.S. stores in 2014, with plans to roll out the service across all corporate stores in the coming year. Vera Bradley plans to use ShopperTrak Perimeter Analytics for a variety of purposes, including predicting its labor model, understanding peak times for stores and creating a reliable, global platform for consistent data reporting.

  • Three big box retailers come to Alliance Center

    Fort Worth, Texas -- Trademark Property Co., a retail and mixed-use investor, developer and operator, has welcomed three national big box stores to Alliance Town Center. DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse), Men’s Wearhouse and Sleep Experts have all opened at the 1 million-sq.-ft. outdoor shopping center in Fort Worth, Texas.

    DSW is leasing 15,000-sq.-ft. at the shopping center. The new Men’s Wearhouse location totals 5,500-sq.-ft. and the new Sleep Experts store measures 4,500-sq.-ft.

  • Ibotta, Roximity collaborate on targeted iBeacon messages

    Los Angeles - Mobile shopping app provider Ibotta Inc. has partnered with Roximity, a provider of location-based mobile technology to deliver iBeacon-based mobile messages to shoppers within store aisles across the U.S. Roximity will enhance Ibotta’s ability to engage millions of shoppers, by providing detailed and relevant information about leading consumer products and rebates available to them in stores, while they shop.

  • 7-Eleven Mexico selects WeDo loss-prevention solution

    Dallas - 7-Eleven has selected the Raid 7 software solution from WeDo Technologies for the retailer's Mexican operations. With more than 1,700 stores across the country, 7-Eleven México needed an enterprise business software suite to deliver end-to-end visibility and control of its retail processes; analyzing and identifying risks and monitoring and controlling deviations.

  • GameStop enlists AT&T to help drive positive customer in-store experience

    GameStop’s business unit, the GameStop Technology Institute (GTI), has partnered with AT&T to develop technical capabilities that enable customers to interact seamlessly via their electronic devices with digital product promotional materials located on store shelves and within identified product communication zones.

  • Shoe Carnival partners with EBay Enterprise for omnichannel platform

    Evansville, Ind. – Shoe Carnival Inc. has partnered with EBay Enterprise to implement a new omnichannel operational foundation based on EBay Enterprise modular solutions, including retail order management, payments, fraud protection, ship-from-store, and customer care. The integrated technology and services will provide a secure engine to accept payments, drive down fraud rates and consolidate inventory across many of Shoe Carnival’s stores to increase product assortment, while lowering fulfillment transit time and expense.
