    New York – There is no shortage of retailers treading on different pieces of retail turf dominated by Amazon.com, and Macy’s is reportedly joining the list. According to Reuters, Macy’s will partner with same-day delivery provider Deliv to expand same-day delivery of online purchases to several new U.S. markets before the end of the summer.

    Neckarlsum, Germany — German discount grocer Lidl is applying business intelligence technology to its planned expansion into the U.S.

    Lidl, which operates nearly 10,000 stores and 130 distribution centers across 26 countries, will use solutions based on the SAP HANA business intelligence platform to support its IT strategy for entering the U.S. market.

The retailers are deploying the digital payment network from Dinube, which uses tokenization, Near Field Communication (NFC) technology and biometric fingerprint security to replace card-based payments.
