Little Caesars Pizza lets customers start digital orders in ChatGPT

Little Caesars is linking its app to ChatGPT.

The world’s third-largest pizza chain is linking its website and mobile app directly to a leading next-gen artificial intelligence platform.

Little Caesars Pizza is rolling out what it calls a first-of-kind capability to order its pizza using the OpenAI generative AI model ChatGPT and functionality from the Little Caesars app. Rolling out nationally across all Little Caesars markets in the U.S. and many restaurants in Mexico and Canada, this new feature lets customers use conversational AI to plan meals, receive personalized recommendations, and customize orders of any size within the ChatGPT environment.

The feature leverages Little Caesars’ existing mobile app infrastructure and deep-linking capabilities to help to ensure a seamless handoff from ChatGPT to the Little Caesars app for checkout and in-store pick up. Customers can utilize the capability by opening ChatGPT, visiting the app directory, searching for "Little Caesars," and connecting their account.

The system is designed to understand customer preferences, how many people are being fed, dietary needs, budget constraints and delivery preferences, and then provide personalized meal recommendations instantly. The retailer built a back end that provides ChatGPT access to its menu, pricing and store locator data in real-time while maintaining security and compliance standards.

"Today's consumers are turning to generative AI as part of how they search for everything, including where to get their next meal," said Greg Hamilton, chief marketing officer at Little Caesars. "We recognize this shift and want to meet our customers where they already are and be the go-to for their pizza occasions. The process is as natural and intuitive as having a conversation. It's not just about technology for technology's sake – it's about making life a little easier for people who love great pizza."

An increasing number of retailers are extending their digital shopping environments directly into ChatGPT and other next-generation AI models. Starbucks is running a beta test of its app in ChatGPT in the U.S. that allows customers to begin an order without knowing the name of a drink by using prompts such as “I want something bright to start my morning” or by uploading a photo that matches their mood.

In addition, Walmart and Sam’s Club began enabling shoppers to complete purchases directly within ChatGPT in October 2025.

Beauty retailer Sephora, discount giant Target, wedding planning tech platform The Knot, e-commerce platform Shopify and online retailer Etsy have also all rolled out Chat GPT shopping features.

Little Caesars was founded as a single, family-owned restaurant in 1959 and is headquartered in Detroit. It is the third-largest pizza chain in the world, with restaurants in each of the 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries and territories.
