  • LIDS gives tip of hat to military families

    LIDS Sports Group has selected a new charity partner that may resonate with many of its customers.

    The company's philanthropic arm, LIDS Foundation, has named Our Military Kids as it 2015 national partner. The foundation presented a check of $200,000 to Our Military Kids to help sustain its efforts in keeping military children engaged in athletic, fine arts and tutoring programs.

  • Sports Authority kicks off summer with football clinic

    The Sports Authority attracted more than 2,000 attendees to its free annual football clinic in Denver and helped educate parents and kids on player safety.

    The event at Sports Authority Field at Mile High included on-field football training and a vendor expo. The football clinic, which had more than 670 participants between the ages of 6 and 14, allowed players to navigate through drill stations dedicated to specific skills such as passing, catching, running, defense, agility training, Heads Up Tackling and more.

  • Save Mart synonymous with Sonoma Raceway

    Save Mart Supermarkets is revving up its marketing efforts with a multi-year agreement to co- sponsor the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway.

    Save Mart Supermarkets’ status as either title or co-title sponsor of the annual Cup event in Sonoma is one of the longest runs in all of NASCAR Cup racing. The new agreement is for five years, extending through 2020. First partnering with the raceway in 1992, Save Mart will celebrate its 25thanniversary as a race sponsor in Sonoma in 2016.

    New York – The in-store experience is getting a lot more high tech for customers at select Price Chopper, Kmart and Food Lion stores. News America Marketing (NAM), a publisher of coupons in the U.S. and Canada, has launched a new in-store holographic display campaign around soccer.

  • Foot Locker nets campaign with budding NBA star

    It doesn't really matter whether shoppers are familiar with hoops star Emmanuel Mudiay yet, because Foot Locker is launching a campaign that explains everything.

    The specialty athletic retailer has launched a YouTube video campaign called "Life Changes After the Draft" – a series of four, 15-second commercials with Under Armour featuring top-NBA Draft prospect Emmanuel Mudiay.

  • Foot Locker races to tell a story

    Foot Locker is teaming up with ASICS on a creative campaign that tells the life story of runners on film.

    The "Real Lives. Real Runners." campaign will provide a platform for runners to capture and share their stories. Building on the successful 2014 "All Runners Welcome" campaign from Foot Locker and ASICS, "Real Lives. Real Runners." invites filmmakers to identify authentic runners and document in a short film why they run and how running impacts their lives.

  • Dr Pepper celebrates Hispanic youth culture

    Dr Pepper is targeting Hispanic millennials through a creative marketing partnership with the 2015 Premios Juventud VIP Tour. 

    The PJ VIP Tour, which paves the way to the 2015 Premios Juventud Awards Show airing on the Univision Network on July 16, will make stops in Miami, Los Angeles, San Jose, Houston, and will finish in Chicago and give Dr Pepper a special opportunity to tap into the Latino youth market.
