  • Pandora mixes old with new in promotional campaign

    Specialty jewelry retailer Pandora found that combining a leading-edge marketing technique with a tried-and-true advertising format paid dividends during the recent holiday season.

    From November 2015 – January 2016, Pandora leveraged the mobile network from location-based marketing provider Outfront Mediato drive traffic to four Miami-area stores. Pandora’s omnichannel approach included nine billboards in Miami, as well as a geo-fencing area that consisted of a five-mile radius around nine local out-of-home assets owned by Outfront Media.

    Petco is launching an omnichannel campaign in support of a new program designed to appeal to its target market: pet parents.

    Petco's new and free Welcome to the Family Program supports all new pet parents, complete with a companion care pack, information on proper pet care and 24/7 support. The program helps pet parents as they expand their brood and embark on new adventures with the newest addition to their family.

  • Report: Whole Foods Market considering tattoo parlors in new chain

    Shoppers at Whole Foods Market’s new 365 chain might be able to get a tattoo while they stock up on organic kale smoothies and non-GMO dog food.

    In an interview on Bloomberg TV, Whole Foods CEO Walter Robb says the 365 format is going to try some tactics outside of the traditional supermarket playbook, including setting up tattoo parlors in the stores.
  • Another marketing first for Target

    Target Corp. is set to make history and take the notion of “live” to an entirely new level during the 2016 Grammys Awards, which airs Monday, Feb.15, on CBS.

    The retailer is sponsoring the debut of Gwen Stefani’s newest music video, "Make Me Like You,” which will air during the broadcast. But in a unique twist, the video will be acted out, filmed and broadcast live during a four-minute commercial break. It will be the first music video ever created on television.

  • Edwards Communities Development names partner to lease retail portion of The Highline at Nine

    Columbus, Ohio -- Casto announced that it has been selected by Edwards Communities Development Company to lease the retail component of The Highline at Nine, Edwards new mixed-use project located in Columbus, Ohio.

    The retail development is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2017. Located on the doorstep of The Ohio State University’s South Campus and the northern edge of the Short North Arts District, The Highline at Nine will include approximately 22,000 sq. ft. of prime retail and restaurant space along with 480 student housing beds.

    The retailer announced that for the first time ever, the company will be the exclusive retail sponsor of the Oscars, which air this month.
