    T.J.Maxx has come up with a creative way to encourage shoppers to support children in need.

    The retailer is launching the "Maxx Kids Art Contest" to support organizations that help children in need reach their full potential, such as Save the Children. Winning artwork will appear on future products sold in T.J.Maxx stores that will benefit children in need. In addition, all winners will receive a $250 savings bond.

  • Barneys enables Instagram shopping

    New York – Barneys New York keeps expanding its use of  social media. The luxury retailer will enable customers to shop directly from a link embedded in its official Instagram account. Utilizing technology from Like2Buy, the feature will link customers to shoppable Instagram images which connect to the Barneys e-commerce site.

  • Walgreens to offer free HIV tests

    DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens is participating in a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pilot with Greater Than AIDS and other organizations and local officials to expand HIV testing services and connect more people with the virus to treatment and care.

  • Report: The money behind women’s closet doors

    New York -- Women have a real investment hiding in their closets, according to a survey by Alliance Data’s Card Services business, which manages store-brand credit card programs for retailers.

    One-fourth of survey respondents indicated the total value of the items in their closet to be from $1,000 to $2,499, and 17% valued the contents between $5,000 and $9,999.  

  • Happily Eva after for New York & Co.

    Customers have responded so well to New York & Company’s collaboration with Eva Mendes that the retailer has extended its deal with the Cuban-American actress.

    Launches in 2013, the Eva Mendes Collection features five seasonal assortments and 11 unique deliveries a year, which feature apparel and accessories.

    Ace Hardware wants shoppers to think summer paint projects by introducing a new curated color palette for the warmest season of the year.

    Ace's Design Experts have curated a paaint color palette for summer 2015 using colors from the Clark+Kensington paint+primer in one collection.

    Featuring hues reminiscent of long summer days and seaside vacations, the colors range from vibrant and bold to grounding neutrals.

  • Foot Locker races to tell a story

    Foot Locker is teaming up with ASICS on a creative campaign that tells the life story of runners on film.

    The "Real Lives. Real Runners." campaign will provide a platform for runners to capture and share their stories. Building on the successful 2014 "All Runners Welcome" campaign from Foot Locker and ASICS, "Real Lives. Real Runners." invites filmmakers to identify authentic runners and document in a short film why they run and how running impacts their lives.
