  • Japanese retail powerhouse and U.S. entertainment giant: Perfect together

    New York -- Uniqlo, the fast-growing fast-fashion division of Japan’s Fast Retailing, is expanding its relationship with Disney Consumer Products. The retailer has even chosen a Disney property as the site of its first store in Florida.

    Uniqlo on Monday announced a global collaboration with Disney Consumer Products to produce a new line called “Magic for All.”  In addition to new products, the collaboration will include pop-up displays, and in-store and online customer experiences.

  • Fast fashion giant teams up with Disney on flagship

    Fast fashion retailer Uniqlo is expanding its collection of Disney apparel and taking its partnership with Disney to a whole new level with a planned flagship store at Disney World.

    The fast growing Japanese retailer will open a store in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., in the spring. It will be the retailer's first store in the southeastern U.S. Uniqlo already has 42 stores in the U.S. and plans to open more stores this year.

  • Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s expanding same-day delivery

    Cincinnati - Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s are stepping up their efforts to get online goods delivered to shoppers faster than ever.
    The department store company is expanding same-day delivery service to nine additional markets beginning this month. Both Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s are partnering with third-party delivery service Deliv to offer same-day delivery on products purchased online at macys.com, Bloomingdales.com, and on both brands’ mobile-enabled websites.

  • Pollo Tropical redefines store experience

    Cincinnati – A redesign has upped the customer experience and increased sales at casual-dining chain Pollo Tropical.

    The 120-plus-unit, Caribbean-themed casual-dining chain, part of Fiesta Restaurant Group, recently underwent a store redesign as part of a national growth strategy and repositioning, with the efforts led by FRCH Design Worldwide.

    Yahoo! Inc. is trying to expand its digital content and advertising business by acquiring a fashion website that allow shoppers to put together sets of clothes and accessories, and then buy them.

  • Bridgestone aims to drive great futures

    While many retailers are promoting back-to-school sales, Bridgestone has come up with an alternative way to ring in the beginning of the school year.

    The company announced it is joining with Boys & Girls Clubs of America on an initiative to provide safe and productive after-school and summer space for kids and teens at Clubs in communities nationwide, with the programming and resources they need to achieve a great future.

    Portland, Ore. -- Adidas is taking its act on the road and letting shoppers get up close and personal with its high-tech footwear.
