Best Buy launching Black Friday event Nov. 20
Best Buy Co. Inc. isn’t waiting for Thanksgiving to start its official Black Friday sale.
The consumer electronics giant begins its Black Friday sale Thursday, Nov. 20 — more than a week before the official date of Black Friday (Nov. 28). Deals on products including TVs, laptops, headphones and wearables, and kitchen appliances will be shoppable in stores as well as the Best Buy mobile app and e-commerce site.
In addition, Best Buy will offer doorbusters on Thursday, Nov. 20 and Friday, Nov. 21 and 28. Members of the My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total loyalty programs can earn up to $25 in bonus rewards when they shop doorbusters through Nov. 29. Limited-time deals will also be available throughout the event.
All customers can save up to 50% off during Best Buy’s Cyber Sunday and Monday Sale, beginning Sunday, Nov. 30.

Holidays are underway at Best Buy
As it did in 2024, Best Buy started its holiday 2025 promotional campaign in late September. The retailer kicked off the season with a 48-hour flash sale and for the second year in a row, hosted a member-exclusive sale specifically targeting participants in its My Best Buy Memberships loyalty program.
The retailer is also promoting its holiday offerings across TV, digital and social media platforms with a multifaceted campaign. Influencers and content creators will figure prominently in its marketing efforts, as will “Gram” its spokeshologram.

- Price match: If the price of products sold by Best Buy goes lower during the holiday season, the retailer will match it under the Best Buy holiday price match guarantee
- Extended store hours: Best Buy is offering extended store hours, with specific details available on local store webpages.
- Return and exchange: Best Buy’s extended holiday return and exchange policy means most gifts purchased between Oct. 31 through Dec. 31 have an extended return period through Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026. Best Buy Plus and Total members have an extended return period through Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, for most purchases.
- Gift ideas: A holiday gift ideas page on the Best Buy site offers curated gift lists based on interests, budgets, trends and more.
- AI gift finder: An AI gift finder tool on the Best Buy mobile app provides personalized recommendations by sharing who you’re shopping for and their interests.
