Best Buy Co Inc. is partnering with Meta to promote a leading-edge consumer AI product.

The consumer electronics chain is serving as the exclusive big-box retailer for Meta Ray-Ban Display, the tech giant’s new advanced AI glasses with a full-color, hi-res display. The collaboration includes providing demos of the new technology in stores in major cities across the country.

Meta Ray-Ban Display features a built-in, full-color visual display in the right lens that shows wearers incoming messages, previews of photos to capture, video calls and visual AI information like step-by-step instructions. Customers have the ability to order their Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses with their prescription, and each pair automatically comes fitted with light-adaptive Transitions lenses.

"We’ve all had that moment when a new piece of technology truly wowed us, and the Meta Ray-Ban AI glasses is one of those see-it-to-believe-it moments," said Jason Bonfig, Best Buy chief customer, product and fulfillment officer. "No one can bring a product like this to life like Best Buy, and we can’t wait for our customers to try it out and experience how it can work in their daily lives.”"

The in-store Best Buy Meta Ray-Ban Display offering will include:

  • Immersive demos: Best Buy experts will showcase how the glasses work, ways to interact with specific apps, and more features. Customers can make reservations now on the Best Buy site, demos will begin on Friday, Oct. 3.
  • Enhanced store experiences: Best Buy is transforming and adding to many of its Meta spaces in hundreds of stores.
  • Specialized support: More than 300 stores across the country will have dedicated Best Buy Meta specialists that received special training to help explain and demonstrate the technology to customers.
