Wayfair is hosting the 2021 edition of its annual 48-hour “Way Day” online sales event in its traditional April timeframe.

The online home furnishings giant is kicking off Way Day 2021 at midnight ET on Wednesday, April 28. For the second year in a row, the event will last two full days. Way Day offers free shipping, as well as discounts of up to 80% on an assortment of hundreds of thousands of products across all of Wayfair’s retail brands in categories including furnishings, decor, housewares, home improvement products, major appliances, and outdoor.

Way Day will also offer hourly flash deals with deeper discounts on select items throughout the event. Customers can sign up for deal previews and alerts by visiting the dedicated Way Day page on the Wayfair site or downloading the Wayfair app.

In 2020, Wayfair delayed Way Day until September. Many other annual online sales events, including Amazon Prime Day, were also postponed until the fall in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19.

2020 also marked the first year Wayfair hosted Way Day as a two-day event. The retailer launched Way Day in April 2018 as a 24-hour online shopping holiday, and extended it to 36 hours in April 2019.

“In the past year, we’ve relied on our homes to serve many functions, whether it was working, home-schooling, exercising, or simply finding comfort while unwinding on the couch,” said Steve Oblak, chief commercial officer, Wayfair. “As part of that, we realize the importance of having a space that’s uniquely our own. Although Wayfair promises year-round value, we host Way Day to help shoppers find even lower prices on so many of our best-sellers. We encourage our customers to find the items they need to ensure their space is just right and ready for the season ahead.”

Based in Boston, Wayfair operates a portfolio of e-commerce sites including Wayfair, Joss & Main, AllModern, Birch Lane, and Perigold; as well as Wayfair Professional, its business program.
