Wayfair Inc. continues to expand its biggest brand in brick-and-mortar.

The online home furnishings giant will open its next large-format retail location at The Shops at Northfield in Denver, in late 2026. Spanning two floors, the approximately 140,000-sq.-ft. store will showcase Wayfair's vast assortment, including "Verified" items, a program that spotlights the brand's “most-trusted” products. It will feature 19 departments, from furniture and housewares to appliances, mattresses, florals and decor, as well as dedicated areas for design services.

Wayfair opened its first large-format store in in May 2024 at Edens Plaza in Wilmette, Ill. Based on its success, the company said it is accelerating the momentum of its physical retail expansion. In addition to its newly announced Denver outpost, Wayfair will open at The District at Howell Mill in Atlanta, in 2026, and at Ridge Hill in Yonkers, N.Y., in early 2027. (The open-air lifestyle center is about 18 miles from New York City.)

“As we expand our physical retail footprint into new regions across the U.S., we remain focused on delivering an exceptional shopping experience that brings the best of Wayfair to life,” said Liza Lefkowski, VP of merchandising and stores at Wayfair. “With our Denver store, we’re thrilled to introduce Wayfair to new customers — from our unbeatable selection, to personalized design service and the flexibility to shop wherever they want.

In January, Wayfair said that one of its core initiatives include expanding its physical retail footprint. The company opened the first brick-and-mortar location of its upscale Perigold brand in June, in Houston. A second store set to open this fall, in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The Shops at Northfield is owned and managed by Stockdale Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Los Angeles.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Wayfair as part of the transformation of The Shops at Northfield,” said Jeff Bhathal, co-head and managing director, retail at Stockdale Capital Partners. “This collaboration is a key step in reimagining the center into a dynamic, pedestrian-focused destination that better serves the Denver Metro area. Together, we’re creating a place that reflects the energy, innovation, and growth of this vibrant community.”

The lease transaction was represented by Erik Christopher, with Tami Lord and Tony Pierangeli at SRS Real Estate Partners, and Matt Curtin with Newmark.

Boston-based Wayfair generated $11.9 billion in net revenue for the 12 months ended March 31, 2025. Its brands include Wayfair, AllModern, Perigold, Birch Lane, Joss & Main and Wayfair Professional.
