Staples holds 2025 prices on key back-to-school items

Staples is running its back-to-school promotion.

An office supplies giant is helping back-to-school shoppers fight inflation.

Staples is kicking off its back-to-school savings program by keeping prices on a number of products at the same level as its 2025 promotion. This includes supplies as low as 25 cents and laptops as low as $249.99. There will also be freebie offers with qualifying purchases.

In total, the retailer is offering 50 items under $1, 95 items under $2 and more than 750 items under $10, online and in-store, though Saturday, Sep. 12, 2026. Deals include:

  • 25¢ 2-pocket paper folders.
  • 35¢ 1-subject notebooks.
  • 50¢ composition books.
  • 50¢ Crayola crayons.
  • 99¢ Crayola colored pencils.
  • 99¢ Crayola markers.

Electronics

In addition to laptops priced as low as $249.99, Staples is also offering technology discounts including monitors as low as $79.99, earbuds as low as $4.99 and wireless mice as low as $9.99, online and in-store through Sunday, Sep. 12.

Party City

Staples is also offering a back-to-school assortment including balloons and balloon bouquets, pennant props, banners and table décor at its in-store Party City locations.

Printing

Other back-to-school offers include limited-time discounts through Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026 from Staples print and marketing services, with same-day printing available on select products, including:

  • $40 off custom print purchases of $175 or more.
  • $130 off custom print purchases of $400 or more.
  • 25% off custom banners
  • 10% back in points on custom print orders.

Starting Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, customers can receive of 30% off custom labels,

Teachers and students

Through Sunday, Sep. 12, teachers can take advantage of a one-time 20% off coupon1for eligible in-store purchases across classroom essentials and shop online teachers’ lists featuring curated assortments by school and grade. Staples is also partnering with youth non-profit Junior Achievement to let customers can round up their purchases at checkout in Staples stores, with donations benefiting Junior Achievement.

Finally, Staples is bringing back its 1996 “Most Wonderful Time of the Year” campaign for the season.
