An artificial intelligence-enabled residential shopping technology provder is turning apartments into augmented reality storefronts.

Amenify is launching a new AI-equipped design and retail solution called 3D Spaces which enables tenants to visualize and purchase furniture and other home décor items for their apartments before moving in. The 3D Spaces solution creates a shoppable 3D digital environment created from an apartment’s actual floor plan.

The solution features an AI agent named “Maddie” that can generate a fully furnished space based on a customer’s taste and preferences from an actual unit floor plan or photo. Shoppers can visualize and place furniture, storage, lighting, and other home furnishings, drawing from a catalog of items from partner retailers across the country.

Customers can walk through 3D, AR and virtual reality (AR/VR), true-to-scale outfitted rooms before they move in select items, which are available for immediate purchase. Delivery can be timed to coincide with their move-in schedule.

"For the first time, AI can design rooms instantly, property management software gives access to millions of floor plans, and merchants can fulfill products directly into a resident's move-in journey,” said Everett Lynn, founder and CEO at Amenify. “Those three trends make a new commerce channel possible."

According to Amenify, 3D Spaces users are seeing time to first design cut from days to minutes, up to 70% faster design iteration, 45% shorter client approval cycles, and up to a 30% reduction in refunds and returns. Every design is connected to a real apartment, a real resident, and products that can actually be delivered before move-in.

“Residents want convenience, savings, and confidence when they move into a new home,” said Danish Chopra, co-founder and CTO/COO at Amenify. “Merchants want high-intent customers. Property operators want better resident experiences and new revenue streams. Amenify’s 3D Spaces connects all three, streamlining demand and supply in the home like never before.”

San Francisco-based Amenify partners with property management software companies such as RealPage, Entrata, and Zego, as well as payment card services provider Visa. The company is currently engaging with retailers, suppliers, furniture brands, home goods companies, and strategic partners interested in participating in the 3D Spaces ecosystem.
