  • L.K. Bennett opens in New Jersey

    New York City -- British fashion retailer L.K.Bennett, opened its third U.S. boutique, at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, N. J.

    “We have over 100 stores in the UK. now — and in the long term weʼd like to have the same number of stores in the U.S.,” said Robert Bensoussan, CEO London.

  • Zip Fitness to open four Chicagoland locations

    Chicago -- Transwestern’s Chicago Retail Advisory Services said it has represented Zip Fitness in four transactions across the Chicagoland area.

  • Roll N Go to open third Manhattan location

    New York City -- Winick Realty Group said Tuesday that fast-food operator Roll N Go has leased its third location at 386 Canal Street, on the corner of West Broadway.

    The 300-sq.-ft. space features 20 ft. of frontage on Canal St. and will be used for both take-out and counter seating.
     

  • Men's Wearhouse opens first Big & Tall store in Manhattan

    New York City -- Men's Wearhouse said Thursday it has opened its first Big & Tall store in New York City, located at 730 3rd Ave.

    Grand opening festivities are slated for Oct. 22, and will feature appearances by former NBA basketball players and 50% discounts off merchandise.
     

  • Brooks Brothers expands existing women’s store

    Westport, Conn. -- SRS Real Estate Partners said that Brooks Brothers has expanded and renewed its lease for a Brooks Brothers Women store at 125 Main Street, in Westport, Conn.

    The long-term lease renewal and expansion expanded the Brooks Brothers Women store to 4,227 sq. ft. and included a portion of the lower level.
     

  • Brixmor announces lineup of openings and lease executions

    New York City -- Brixmor Property Group announced Tuesday a number of nationally recognized retailers have executed leases or have recently opened in time for the holiday shopping season. The addition of these new stores expands the presence of these tenants across the Brixmor portfolio.

  • DDR announces new tenants at six former Borders locations

    Beachwood, Ohio -- DDR Corp. said Thursday that six new national tenants will occupy former Borders locations in Puerto Rico, New Jersey, Georgia, Ohio and Missouri.

    PetSmart's newest Puerto Rico store will be located in the former Borders location at Plaza Escorial, a 636,000-sq.-ft. power center in Carolina, anchored by Walmart, Sam's Club, Home Depot, Old Navy and Caribbean Cinemas. In 2010, DDR introduced PetSmart to Puerto Rico and this store marks the fourth PetSmart location in a DDR center on the island.

  • Canadian Tire rolls out new auto store

    Montreal -- A Thursday report in the Montreal Gazette said that Canadian Tire Corp. unveiled a new prototype on Wednesday in Bowmanville, Ontario, east of Toronto.

    The new store is 40% larger than a typical in-store automotive department and features a service area with a drive-in reception, a new auto detailing bay and a sound booth for customers to test in-car audio entertainment systems, GPS and car safety electronics.

    The test store is one of three opening in Ontario this year.
