  • New social media platform opens Amazon aStore

    ATLANTA, Ga. — Vir2o, a new social media platform by East Coast Diversified Corporation, has announced that its online, interactive e-commerce engine is open for business and powered by Amazon. 

    Members of the aStore will be able to browse through a wide range of products and shop online with friends in their network in real time, thanks to ECDC's nVite technology. ECDC's proprietary nVite technology also lets Vir2o members watch movies together and share photos in real time.

  • AAFES launches upgraded website

    Dallas -- The Army & Air Force Exchange Service announced a refresh of the organization’s official website, Shopmyexchange.com, in preparation for the key holiday selling season.
     
    Improvements include a new homepage layout design, complete with an updated visual look and industry-standard navigation; more product categories; easy-to-find links to specialty stores and online mall vendors; improved product pages; and easier checkout.
     

  • Wet Seal turns to Demandware to improve digital platform

    BURLINGTON, Mass. — Specialty retailer Wet Seal has signed on with Demandware to use the cloud commerce solutions provider’s commerce platform as a component of its e-commerce and digital marketing strategy. 

    Wet Seal is looking to leverage the platform’s offerings — which according to Demandware include fast time-to-market, a rich set of merchandising capabilities and a secure, scalable environment to support omnichannel operations — to provide customers with optimal online and mobile shopping services. 

  • H&M celebrates U.S. online shopping site with pop-up and blogging contest

    New York -- H&M has launched online shopping in the United States, effective Aug. 1. In addition to offering the same merchandise as in-store and some exclusive “online only” items, the site marks the debut of the H&M Home collection, available exclusively online.

  • Shanghai retailer pilots mobile rewards solution

    Boston -- Japanese retailer Yummie House is piloting a new mobile rewards solution at 10 stores in Shanghai, China. Yummie House is using a joint application from Appconomy and ByteLight that combines the cloud-based Appconomy Platform mobile marketing platform solution with ByteLight light field communication (LFC) technology.

  • Wet Seal selects Demandware for omni-channel commerce

    Foothill Ranch, Calif. -- The Wet Seal, Inc. has selected the Demandware Commerce platform to help support omni-channel operations. The specialty apparel retailer will leverage the solution to provide optimal online and mobile shopping services in a secure environment, integrated with its larger merchandising strategy.

  • Coldwater Creek to expand loyalty program in new long-term agreement with Alliance Data

    Sandpoint, Idaho -- Coldwater Creek and Alliance Data Systems Corp. announced they have signed a new, long-term agreement for Alliance Data's Retail Services business to expand Coldwater Creek's co-branded credit card program and launch a Coldwater Creek private label credit card program.
