    Denton, Texas - Sally Beauty Holdings Inc. has chosen MetricStream's Store Audit Management solution, to be deployed over MetricStream GRC Cloud. The solution will provide Sally Beauty Holdings with an integrated audit system to manage store compliance reviews, security, inventory control, and other operations across their stores in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

  • Report: Home Depot data breach class action suit begins Jan. 16

    Atlanta – A class action lawsuit compiling more than 30 of the 44 lawsuits that have been filed against The Home Depot Inc. in relation to its 2014 data breach is scheduled to begin Friday, Jan. 16 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta.

    According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Chief Judge Thomas W. Thrash Jr. is telling attorneys for both sides to pursue a “just, speedy and inexpensive” resolution.

  • Verizon: Retailers fail to maintain PCI compliance

    New York – Even when retailers achieve compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, they often fail to maintain it. According to the upcoming 2015 PCI Report from Verizon Enterprise Solutions, fewer than one-third of retailers studied were still PCI-compliant less than one year after being validated.

    Half Price Books selected PCMS over a number of competitive vendors due to the ability of PCMS to support the retailer’s unique inventory management requirements around the buying and selling of new and used books and other items.

    Armonk, N.Y. – Retailers are suffering fewer cyber attacks, but for hackers it is becoming a situation of quality over quantity. According to findings released by IBM, despite a 50% decline in the number of cyber attacks against U.S. retailers, the number of records stolen from them remains at near record highs.
