    VANCOUVER, B.C. – 99 Cents Only Stores is turning to ACL’s GRC solution to help the value retailer digitize its audit management procedures. 

    By leveraging the internal audit management system, the retailer will replace spreadsheets and shared drives. Anticipated benefits include increased collaboration and visibility among team members, the ability to more easily perform risk assessments and scoring, and ease of workflow adjustment as new issues and risks are identified.

  • Bonobos automates AWS infrastructure

    New York – Online apparel retailer Bonobos is automating its Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure with the Opscode Hosted Chef solution. Using Hosted Chef and its Knife EC2 command-line plug-in for AWS, Bonobos' engineering team can now manage more than 150 cloud servers and ensure 100% uptime for its website operations. The retailer is automating processes including configuration management and application delivery, as well as responding to spikes in customer traffic and orchestrating application updates.

  • Sona automates warehouse management

    Santa Fe Springs, Calif. -- Sona Enterprises, a direct wholesaler/distributor of more than 3,000 SKUs to gift shops, travel agencies, camping and hiking outfitters, auto dealerships/parts stores/repair shops, jewelry and convenience stores, has improved upon manual warehouse management procedures using the AcellosOne warehouse management system (WMS).

  • Ruby Tuesday streamlines facilities management

    Knoxville, Tenn. – Ruby Tuesday is streamlining facilities management activities across its 750 U.S. stores with the Web-based facilities services management platform from ServiceChannel. The ServiceChannel suite will aid Ruby Tuesday in executing such tasks as management of service requests, work orders, invoicing, payment, finding and managing contractors, repair and maintenance, and other facility issues.

  • Kohl’s eases omni-channel integration

    Menomonee Falls, Wis. -- Kohl’s is easing the continuous integration (CI) process for its omni-channel initiatives with the implementation of the Qubell Adaptive PaaS solution. Available as a hosted platform, Adaptive PaaS provides Kohl’s with continuous application deployment, continuous testing and environment management. Specific tasks Kohl’s has executed using Adaptive PaaS include automating the front end of its development process, integrating with various technology stacks and providing developers with near-real-time feedback on their work.

  • Tommy Bahama adopts SaaS IT model

    San Diego – Tommy Bahama is employing the IT Service Automation Application Suite from cloud-based IT services provider ServiceNow to automate IT functions such as incident management, change management, problem management, configuration management database and service catalog. The specialty apparel brand is also using the SaaS-based Orchestrate solution from ServiceNow to streamline the hiring and training process.

    INDIANAPOLIS — Kohl’s plans to leverage cloud technology so it can focus on core business and meet peak seasonal demands. To that end, the company has entered into a long-term, multi-year contract to migrate its contact center to the Interactive Intelligence Communications-as-a-Service solution. 

  • Dell, Microsoft partner to improve supply chain efficiency for OEM customers

    ROUND ROCK, Texas — Dell OEM Solutions announced that it has worked with Microsoft Corp. to become a global distributor, outsource manufacturer and integrator for Windows Embedded products.

    The agreement, which went into effect on April 1, enables Dell to provide Windows Embedded product licenses (COAs) with Dell product solutions. This means it is easier for Dell OEM Solutions customers to bring their products and solutions to market through:
