  • Share a selfie to support a cause at Macy's

    For the third year in a row, Macy’s is asking shoppers to donate to America’s veterans – but this time there’s a selfie involved.

    Macy’s is teaming up with Got Your 6 on a new charitable program, which kicks off with an innovative social media campaign, #AmericanSelfie, a “Got Your 6 Saturday” savings pass, and a commercial spot with Emmy Award-winning host and producer, Ryan Seacrest.

  • Cole Haan launches Apple Pay within shopping app

    New York - Cole Haan is launching Apple Pay within its mobile shopping application. The retailer partnered with mobile commerce platform, PredictSpring, to build the Cole Haan iPhone, iPad and Android mobile apps.

    Notable features include Shop the Look, allowing consumers to shop directly from the Cole Haan Instagram feed, as well as geo-fencing technology that alerts consumers to nearby Cole Haan stores. The Cole Haan app with Apple Pay is available for free download on the iTunes App Store.

  • Private equity firm Roark Capital acquires 155-store Pet Supermarket

    Sunrise, Fla. -- Roark Capital Group, an Atlanta-based private equity firm focused on consumer brands, said that that its affiliate has acquired pet specialty retailer Pet Supermarket from Charles E. West, Jr., the company's founder. Pet Supermarket will remain headquartered in Sunrise, Florida, and continue to be led by Diane Holtz, its CEO.

    Pet Supermarket operates 155 pet specialty retail stores in 11 states generating over $300 million of revenue.

    Cult favorite grocery chain Wegman's is coming to New York City, with plasn to build a massive store in Brooklyn.
  • America’s favorite grocery retailer is….

    Louisville, Colo. -- Trader Joe’s is America’s favorite grocery retailer for the third year in a row, according to a study of more than 7,200 consumers by Market Force Information. Publix ranked a close second and Aldi was third.
