  • Subway names 40-year veteran as president

    Milford, Conn. - Suzanne Greco, who began her tenure with the Subway restaurant chain as a store associate in 1973, has been named president of the company. For 24 years, she led the research and development team.

    In 2012 Greco’s responsibilities expanded when she began overseeing the operations department and her responsibilities expanded again earlier in 2015 when she began overseeing the marketing department.

  • Survey: H-E-B brings out positive emotions

    Waban, Mass. – Grocery retailer H-E-B produces a positive emotional reaction with consumers. Based on a study of 10,000 U.S consumers, H-E-B, Publix, Chick-fil-A, and Trader Joe's took the top four spots in the 2015 Temkin Emotion Ratings, which rates how customers feel about their interactions with 293 companies across 20 industries.

  • Darden plans to place 430 stores in REIT

    Orlando, Fla. - Darden Restaurants Inc. plans to separate a portion of its real estate assets through a combination of sale leaseback transactions and a new, publicly traded real estate investment trust ("REIT"). Under the plan, Darden will transfer approximately 430 of its corporate stores to the REIT, with substantially all of the REIT's initial assets being leased back to Darden.

  • Dunkin’ Donuts continues expansion in hotels

    Canton, Mass. - Dunkin' Donuts has opened its newest hotel location at the Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky, Ohio, making it the fifth restaurant to open under a franchising agreement between Dunkin' Donuts and Great Wolf Resorts. Dunkin' Donuts has existing restaurants at Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, North Carolina; Williamsburg, Virginia; Traverse City, Michigan; and Fitchburg, Massachusetts.

  • PizzaRev launches home delivery for online orders

    Los Angeles – Fast casual pizza chain PIzzaRev has launched the delivery of online and mobile orders through Postmates, on-demand delivery service. The partnership ensures PizzaRev customers a flat $4.99 delivery fee, and the service is currently available for seven PizzaRev restaurants in the greater Los Angeles market.  

  • McDonald’s using tablets to let customers customize burgers

    Oak Brook, Ill. — McDonald's is letting customers really have it their way. The fast-food giant has launched an expansion of its "Create Your Taste" program to a new location in San Francisco. The customized burger building system that allows customers to order from a tablet-like kiosk where they can customize everything from choice of buns and cheese to toppings and sauces.

  • Twin Peaks prepares mobile payment, loyalty app

    Dallas – Casual dining chain Twin Peaks is partnering with MyCheck,mobile payment technology platform, to release its first branded mobile payment app in Augustc 2015.

    The new Twin Peaks mobile app will allow customers to view, split and pay their bill from their phone using Apple Pay, PayPal, Google Wallet, debit or credit cards; order additional menu items, and have access to exclusive rewards and special offers only redeemable in the app.
