  • Domino’s enables order by text

    Ann Arbor, Mich. — Some people love pizza so much they get emotional about it. Now Domino’s Pizza is letting them express those emotions by placing preset delivery orders via pizza text emoji.

    Customers who opt into Domino’s new mobile text ordering service and add their mobile number to their online “pizza profile” can also reorder their established Easy Order by texting the phrase “Easy Order.”

  • Domino’s names executives including new marketing head

    Ann Arbor, Mich. - Domino's Pizza has announced several key internal leadership appointments and promotions, including naming Joe Jordan, 41, as VP and chief marketing officer.

    Jordan has been with Domino's since 2011 when he began serving as the VP of marketing innovation. Most recently, Jordan was VP of field marketing where he spearheaded the realignment of interdisciplinary resources to better support franchisees at the local level. Prior to Domino's, he held marketing roles at Accenture, Philips, Unilever and PepsiCo Inc.

  • Domino’s Pizza now taking orders via tweet — with pizza emoji

    Ann Arbor, Mich. -- Domino's Pizza is debuting a new ordering option that combines two new-to-the-world innovations — ordering via tweet and ordering via emoji, specifically the pizza emoji. The ordering platforms launched on Wednesday throughout the United States.

    Domino's is the first brand to use an emoji on Twitter to place and complete an order.

  • Domino’s enters Republic of Georgia

    Ann Arbor, Mich. - Domino's Pizza has opened in its third new market so far in 2015, as the first Domino's store in the Republic of Georgia opened the capital city of Tbilisi. Domino's Pizza in Georgia is a joint venture between Turkven, Domino's master franchisee in Turkey, and Geo Pizza LLC, led by CEO Tea Shengelia.

  • Grotto Pizza rewards all customers with Paytronix

    Rehoboth Beach, Del. - Grotto Pizza has leveraged the Paytronix Rewards Platform to implement a multi-tiered loyalty program that enables the chain to reward year-round diners without heavily discounting seasonal guests. In particular, the “Winter Wednesday” promotion has enabled Grotto Pizza to increase off-season traffic on what was its slowest day of the week by 84%.

  • Papa Murphy’s adds three independent directors

    Vancouver, Wash. – Papa Murphy’s Holdings Inc. has appointed Jean M. Birch, Rob Weisberg and Jeffrey B. Welch as independent members of its board of directors, effective April 15, 2015. The appointments replace both Thomas H. Lee and Achi Yaffe, who have resigned from the board, as well as increase the board size by one seat.

    Louisville, Ky. -- Papa John’s is launching PayShare, a first-of-its-kind digital solution in the pizza industry that lets customers immediately split their pizza bill. The solution, PayShare, powered by Venmo, provides customers a safe and secure option to simply and easily split the check on any mobile or online order.

  • Papa Murphy’s serves up mobile promotions

    Vancouver, Wash. – Papa Murphy’s Holdings Inc. is running enhanced mobile marketing campaigns using the Waterfall cloud mobile messaging platform. Papa Murphy's in-store promotions, supplemented with text alerts and calls to action that offer coupons and other incentives, are driving more in-store sales and Web traffic.
