Los Angeles -- PizzaRev, a fast-casual build-your-own pizza concept, is adding five franchise groups to develop the brand throughout Denver, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, Long Island, New York and Columbus, Ohio. PizzaRev plans to open at least 40 franchise locations across the markets.
Beyond its 12 corporate locations in greater Los Angeles, PizzaRev currently operates franchise locations across four states.
In the second quarter of 2014, franchises opened in the Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Austin, and Orange County, California markets. PizzaRev’s new franchise partners and the markets they will develop include:
Denver – PizzaRev development led by restaurateur and founding partner of QK Inc. restaurant group, Dough Koch; he adds PizzaRev to a portfolio of 90 Denny’s restaurants and six Del Taco restaurants across eight states.
Washington D.C. – Former Managing Director of International Development for Buffalo Wild Wings Inc., Mo Sawda, will bring PizzaRev to Northern Virginia, including Washington D.C. Sawda previously managed his own development company and also held upper management positions with Burger King and Denny’s.
Long Island, N.Y. - Chuck Kwon, former operator of six Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants across Long Island and Connecticut, will be among the first to bring PizzaRev to the East Coast. He is also a former Hooters franchise owner.
Las Vegas - Tom McDonald & co. currently operate 27 Burger King restaurants throughout Las Vegas and Phoenix as well as nine Panera Bread restaurants across Orange County, Calif. McDonald and business partner Steve Keith will open the first PizzaRev in Nevada.
Columbus, Ohio – Thomas Pilbeam and Jack Thompson will add PizzaRev to a portfolio of 28 Denny’s restaurants across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.
