  • Papa John’s accepts Google Wallet Instant Buy

    Louisville, Ky. – Payment just got faster for Papa John’s customers with Android phones. Papa John’s International Inc. will now begin accepting Google Wallet Instant Buy as a payment method for delivery and carry-out orders placed through the Android app.   Customers can press the "Buy with Google" button at checkout to complete their order. Papa John’s also announced that for the first time, digital and mobile channels account for more than 50% of its total U.S. sales.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Papa John’s International has reached a milestone: The chain announced that digital and mobile channels account for more than 50% of its total U.S. sales (delivery and carryout), making it the first in the industry to surpass this milestone.  
  • Domino’s enters Kenya

    Ann Arbor, Mich. – Domino’s Pizza is continuing its international growth by opening its first store in Kenya. Master Kenya franchise holder Om Nom Nom Ltd. opened a store in Nairobi Nov.8 and will open more stores in the city in the next few years.
    "Establishing ourselves in Kenya provides an excellent opportunity for our brand to continue growing globally," said Ritch Allison, Domino's Pizza international president. "Domino's has terrific potential to offer an unmatched pizza experience to the people of Nairobi."

  • Domino’s launches smartwatch Tracker app

    Ann Arbor, Mich. –- Domino’s Pizza is launching its Tracker app, which allows customers to trace their order from the time it is taken, baked and out for delivery, will now be available on the Pebble smartwatch device. This marks the first time that Domino's Tracker has been available on any smartwatch device.    
  • Coal Vines to open at CityLine mixed-use development

    Richardson, Texas -- Commercial real estate firm KDC announced that Coal Vines will join CityLine, the company’s 186-acre mixed-use project in Richardson, Texas. The restaurant is scheduled to open in summer 2015.   “The Coal Vines concept is ideal for CityLine and brings an element of fun to State Street and the entertainment district,” said KDC’s Colin Fitzgibbons. 
  • PizzaRev plans 40-plus franchise stores in five new markets

    Los Angeles -- PizzaRev, a fast-casual build-your-own pizza concept, is adding five franchise groups to develop the brand throughout Denver, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, Long Island, New York and Columbus, Ohio. PizzaRev plans to open at least 40 franchise locations across the markets.   Beyond its 12 corporate locations in greater Los Angeles, PizzaRev currently operates franchise locations across four states.  
  • Domino’s promotes three execs

    Ann Arbor, Mich. -– Domino’s Pizza Inc. named Richard E. Allison, 47, president, Domino's International.   Allison has been with the company since 2011 and has led its international division since that time, succeeding Michael T. Lawton, current CFO, who ran the division prior to Allison. Prior to Domino's, Allison spent more than 13 years at Bain & Company, where he was a partner and co-leader of the firm's restaurant practice.
