Kohl’s offers AI holiday shopping tool, last-minute deals

Procrastinating holiday shoppers will find technology and promotions specifically for them at Kohl’s.

The department store chain, which hosted an October “Deal Dash” holiday promotion and ran an Early Black Friday sale event in November and a number of holiday deals in early December, is now targeting customers who have yet to complete (or possibly even start) their holiday shopping. 

Kohl’s is releasing a new artificial intelligence (AI)-based holiday shopping tool called Kohl’s Storybook Magic. Shoppers can input details about themselves or their gift recipient into the platform and receive a customized story catered to their personality.

In addition, utilizing the Kohl’s app, customers can scan and store Kohl’s gift cards, Kohl’s Cash, and other coupons and manage and redeem Kohl’s Rewards in the mobile wallet for streamlined access at checkout. 

Other discounts Kohl’s is offering for the last two weeks of the holiday shopping season include:

• Kohl's Friends and Family, Dec. 11-17 -  Shoppers can take advantage of Kohl’s Friends and Family savings event, featuring 25% off their purchase on top of other deals.
• Daily Deal Drops, Dec. 11-17 – Each day during this period, Kohl’s will feature new deals on holiday items.
• Just in the Nick of Time, Dec. 18 -24 – Shoppers can take an additional 20% off their purchase and continue to earn $10 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent on qualifying purchases through Dec. 24. 
• From Dec. 15-22, most Kohl’s stores will be open from 8 a.m. local time until midnight. On Saturday, Dec. 23, most Kohl’s stores will be open from 7 a.m. local time until midnight, and on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, most Kohl’s stores will be open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. local time.
• Kohl’s Rewards loyalty program members can earn 5% Kohl’s Rewards on every purchase at Kohl’s (excluding gift cards), and receive personalized deals and perks throughout the year. Kohl's Card shoppers enrolled in Kohl's Rewards earn an elevated 7.5% rewards earn rate on purchases at Kohl's when they use their Kohl’s Card (excluding gift cards).
