eBay to host New York pop-up tied to digital influencer guide

eBay NYC Edit Market
The eBay NYC Edit Market is coming April 17.

eBay is promoting its digital used fashion guide with a pop-up physical space that is both limited time and limited access.

The online giant will run "The NYC Edit Market" – an in-person, physical retail space in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City where customers must list an item on eBay to gain entry, from Friday April 17 – Sunday, April 19, 2026, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. ET.

The pop-up will feature products inspired by "The NYC Edit," a recently-launched digital publication focused on what used fashion products leading New York style influencers are buying and selling on eBay.

The retailer partnered with 10 fashion influencers, stylists and creators living in New York City, including stylist and fashion editor Dara Allen, actor and comedian Owen Thiele, and fashion writer Emilia Petrarca, to produce "The NYC Edit."

The guide is available on a dedicated section of the eBay site and features curated storefronts that customers can use to shop the pieces the influencers are buying and selling, as well as for suggestions on what to list for sale.

Now, used items from The NYC Edit contributors like Dara Allen, Owen Thiele and Emilia Petrarca will be sold alongside inventory from top eBay sellers. Other features of the pop-up will include a "charm bar" where customers can create custom accessories such as one-of-a-kind sets to adorn belts and bags, as well as quick color analysis sessions for shoppers.

Upon arrival at the NYC Edit Market, customers can either present an active listing from their eBay app or create one on-site, with dedicated listing stations guiding them through the process from photographing their item to uploading it in real time.

Items listed for entry at The NYC Edit Market will live on eBay.com, with select items featured on The NYC Edit hub starting April 17. If eligible, items will undergo verification through the eBay Authenticity Guarantee before reaching the buyer.

A portion of the proceeds from the market will benefit Custom Collaborative, a non-profit which trains, mentors, and advocates for low-income immigrant women who want to work in fashion.

Founded in 1995 in San Jose, Calif., eBay operates in more than 190 markets around the world. In 2025, eBay enabled nearly $80 billion of gross merchandise volume.
