A U.K.-based fashion resell marketplace is teaming with a major audio streaming platform to promote apparel and new musical talent.

Depop, which was recently purchased for $1.2 billion in cash by eBay from Etsy, is entering what it calls a first-of-its-kind partnership with Spotify. Through the collaboration, artists Eve, Amira Elfeky, Esteyie, Frost Children, House of Protection and Lily Meola are each curating a personal collection of pieces from their own wardrobes for sale on Depop and operating their own artist storefronts.

On Spotify, customers have access to a co-branded editorial playlist, artist content and in-app experiences designed to spotlight several music scenes. In addition, the two companies have hosted several online pop-up shops and are hosting a two-day brick-and-mortar activation Aug. 13-14 at the Hollywood Premiere Motel on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.

The physical pop-up activation transforms the motel into an immersive experience where customers can see live performances, discover interactive genre-inspired closets and shop curated fashion edits.

"This partnership brings together two brands that are deeply embedded in culture and united by a shared belief in the power of creativity and self-expression," said Steve Dool, senior director, brand + creative at Depop. "Fashion and music have always gone hand in hand, with communities shaping what's next through their individual style and taste. Together with Spotify, we're creating new ways for our community to discover artists, explore personal style and connect through the cultural moments that inspire them."

Convenience giant 7-Eleven also partnered with Spotify on a curated pop-up shop and playlist in 2025. That collaboration featured legendary punk rock band Green Day unveiling a new limited-time flavor of its Slurpee drink, "Kerplunk Kandy Grape Slurpee," in honor of its 1992 album "Kerplunk."

"We’re excited to spotlight six incredible artists through this partnership with Depop," said Matt Luhks, senior director, global marketing, Spotify. "We hope to give fans a deeper look at the styles and sounds that shape their perspective as artists. Many of the artists contributed to an exclusive playlist on Spotify, which is an audio companion to their Depop closets. It lets fans trace the thread between what these artists wear, what they listen to, and how they create."

Founded in 2011, Depop is circular fashion marketplace where people can buy, sell and discover secondhand apparel items. Launched in 2008, Spotify offers 100 million tracks, 7 million podcast titles, and 700,000 audiobooks with 777 million users, including 300 million subscribers, in 184 markets.
