    Two new offerings from Pinterest make the visually-oriented social media platform even more accessible for e-commerce.

    First, Pinterest is launching a new feature called Pinterest Shop. Every day, Pinterest will offer what it calls “hand-picked” product selections. The curated assortments will include products from major retailers like Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom, as well as from smaller boutique retailers.

    Pinterest will roll out Pinterest Shop for desktop and mobile in the next couple of weeks.

  • Bloomingdale’s enters Hawaii with tech-enhanced store

    Bloomingdale’s is bringing its tech-savvy, updated smaller-store format to the world’s largest open-air shopping mall.

    The retailer open a store in Honolulu, on the Island of O’ahu, on Nov. 12. The location — Bloomindale’s first in Hawaii — will serve as the centerpiece of a major retail expansion at Ala Moana Center.

    Kohl’s is speeding up its digital overhaul and expanding a new service that aims to attract shoppers who want their purchases to arrive as quickly as possible.

    The company announced it will expand its partnership with Deliv to offer shoppers same-day delivery service. Deliv currently powers Kohl's same-day service in San Francisco, the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago. The service will now expand to Boston, Brooklyn/Queens, Los Angeles, Miami, Northern New Jersey, and Philadelphia in the coming weeks.

    Global management consultancy Kurt Salmon is acquiring digital retail technology agency Mobispoke LLC, the engine behind such technologies as smart fitting rooms, integrated mobile apps and other leading-edge, interactive shopping experience technologies.

    Following the acquisition, Mobispoke will rebrand as Kurt Salmon Digital and will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kurt Salmon.
