  • DDR and Target launch redevelopment projects in San Antonio and Denver

    Beachwood, Ohio -- Shopping center owner and developer Developers Diversified Realty Corp. said Wednesday it will raze Terrell Plaza shopping center in San Antonio, Texas, and an existing two-story enclosed mall at Tamarac Square in Denver, Colo., to accommodate Target Corp.’s construction of two new stores.

    DDR said it intends to redevelop adjacent retail space at both centers.

  • Blue Moon Apparel to open at Auburn Village

    Auburn, Calif. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in Auburn, Calif., at Auburn Village to Blue Moon Apparel.

    Opening its third women’s apparel location, Blue Moon Apparel has leased 1,400 sq. ft. of space and will open in June.

    The 134,000-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Bel Air grocery store alongside national retailers such as CVS/pharmacy, Dollar Tree and Subway.
     

  • Fresco World Market to open at Eastridge Mall

    San Jose, Calif. -- Chicago-based General Growth Properties announced that Fresco World Market is slated to open at Eastridge Mall, located in Santa Clara County, Calif., by September.

    Fresco will take over a former Circuit City building and will feature the largest produce and seafood departments in the county and the Bay area.

    A GGP property, Eastridge Mall is anchored by J.C. Penney, Macy's, Sears, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, Sports Chalet and AMC Theatres.

  • Voorhees Town Hall opens at Voorhees Town Center

    Voorhees, N.J. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust announced Monday that Voorhees Town Hall has opened at the mixed-use Voorhees Town Center, located in Voorhees, N.J.

    On Monday, more than 50 Voorhees Township employees moved in to the new municipal office, which is located on the upper level of the mall across from Macy’s and also features a street-level entrance.

  • Children’s Place to make regional debut at Gadsden Mall

    Gadsden, Ala. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said that The Children’s Place is set to open a new location at Gadsden Mall in May.

    The nearly 3,000-sq.-ft. retailer will be located next to Kay Jewelers, and will be the retailer’s first in the region.

  • Two new restaurant leases signed at Fort Bend Center

    Houston -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased space to two new restaurants in Houston at Fort Bend Center.

    Baskin Robbins has leased 1,280 sq. ft., and The Fish Place has leased 1,380 sq. ft. of space. Both restaurants are slated to open in July.

    The 97,000-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Kroger alongside national retailers such as LA Fitness, Starbucks, Wendy’s, and Cato.
     

  • Soma Intimates to open at Town Center at Boca Raton

    Boca Raton, Fla. -- Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group announced that Soma Intimates, a Chico FAS company, will open on May 25 at Town Center at Boca Raton, located in Boca Raton, Fla.

  • DSW opens two Connecticut stores with Centro Properties Group

    New York City -- Centro Properties Group, based in New York City, announced that two DSW stores recently opened in Connecticut; in North Haven, a 24,824-sq.-ft. store opened, and in Manchester, a 20,000-sq.-ft. store opened.

    The North Haven store is located at North Haven Crossing, and the Manchester store is located at Slater Street, near Buckland Hills Mall.
